Job Summary

Weare looking for a reliable, responsible and punctual Driver to deliver ready-to-eat meals to childcare centres according to the assigned delivery schedules. Driver will be responsible for ensuring that meals are transported safely, handled hygienically and delivered on time while maintaining food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

1.Meal Delivery

  • Deliver ready-to-eat meals to assigned childcare centres according to the daily delivery schedule.
  • Ensure all meals are delivered to the correct locations, in the correct quantities and within the designated delivery time.
  • Follow the assigned delivery routes and schedule to ensure timely delivery.
  • Obtain acknowledgement or confirmation of receipt from the receiving personnel at each childcare centre.
  • Inform the supervisor promptly of any delays, delivery discrepancies or unforeseen circumstances.

2.Food Safety and Handling

  • Ensure meals are handled carefully during loading, transportation and unloading.
  • Maintain the required food storage and transportation conditions to preserve food safety and quality.
  • Ensure food containers and packaging remain clean, intact and properly secured during transit.
  • Prevent contamination by maintaining good personal hygiene and keeping the vehicle clean.
  • Report any damaged packaging, suspected food contamination or temperature-control issues immediately.

3.Order Checking and Documentation

  • Check meal quantities, delivery labels and destination details before leaving the premises.
  • Verify that the correct meals are delivered to each childcare centre.
  • Ensure all delivery orders, checklists and relevant documents are properly completed.
  • Report missing items, incorrect quantities or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.

4.Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness

  • Conduct basic vehicle checks before commencing deliveries.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Ensure the vehicle is suitable for transporting ready-to-eat meals.
  • Report vehicle defects, maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

5.Communication and Coordination

  • Coordinate with the kitchen and operations team regarding delivery schedules and special instructions.
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with childcare centre staff.
  • Notify the supervisor immediately of traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns or any issues that may affect delivery.
  • Assist with loading and unloading meals as required.

6.Other Duties

  • Assist with general delivery and operational duties when required, such as packing goods prior to delivery.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle operated.
  • Familiarity with Singapore roads and delivery routes is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in food delivery, catering or logistics is preferred.
  • Responsible, punctual, organised and able to work independently.
  • Able to handle and carry food containers and delivery items.
  • Understand the importance of food hygiene, food safety and timely delivery.
  • Able to follow delivery schedules, instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours will be based on the daily meal preparation and delivery schedule.
  • Early morning starts may be required to meet childcare centres' meal delivery timings.
  • The role involves driving, loading and unloading food containers and making multiple deliveries daily.

  • Timely and accurate delivery of meals to all assigned childcare centres.
  • Zero avoidable delivery errors, missing items or incorrect deliveries.
  • Consistent adherence to food safety, hygiene and handling requirements.
  • Proper completion of delivery documentation.
