Обеспечивает рациональную организацию труда и расстановку кадров среднего и младшего медицинского персонала, повышение их квалификации и получение (подтверждение) сертификата специалиста. Организует и контролирует выполнение средним и младшим медицинским персоналом приказов и распоряжений вышестоящих органов и должностных лиц, а также решений Совета медицинских сестер. Составляет графики работы, графики отпусков, ведет табель учёта рабочего времени работников стационара (отделения). Обеспечивает своевременное замещение среднего и младшего медицинского персонала, не вышедших на работу. Контролирует работу среднего и младшего медицинского персонала по приему пациентов; транспортировку пациентов внутри отделений учреждения; выполнение средним медицинским персоналом врачебных назначений; санитарно-гигиеническое содержание отделения; своевременность и качество дезинфекции помещений. Оказывает больным доврачебную медицинскую помощь (при эпилептических припадках, возбуждении и неотложных состояниях). Осуществляет получение, хранение и выдачу рецептурных бланков врачам отделения под роспись с записью в журнале выдачи рецептов. Организовывает и контролирует выполнение мероприятий в случае возникновения инфекционного очага в отделении: своевременная подача экстренного извещения в территориальный центр Госсанэпиднадзора по месту регистрации заболевания (немедленного по телефону и затем в течение 12 часов в письменном виде), наблюдение контактных лиц, проведение дезинфекционных мероприятий. Следит за выполнением требований инфекционного контроля и инфекционной безопасности медицинским персоналом. Обеспечивает своевременное и качественное оформление и предоставление служебной и иной документации, информации и отчетности в соответствии с установленными правилами. Составляет план работы на год (под руководством старшей медицинской сестры диспансерной службы). Организовывает мероприятия по повышению квалификации медицинского персонала. Под руководством заведующего отделением разрабатывает планы повышения квалификации медицинского персонала, проведения медицинских конференций и практических занятий. Организовывает обучение, контроль знаний и выполнения работниками инструкций по санитарно-эпидемиологическому режиму и ведению документации, охране труда и технике безопасности, гигиене труда, противопожарной охране, деятельности медицинского учреждения в экстремальной ситуации, соблюдение производственной и трудовой дисциплины. Осуществляет руководство подчиненными ей работниками, содействует выполнению ими своих должностных обязанностей.
