К самостоятельной работе допускают лиц не моложе 18 лет. Медосмотры. Обязательны предварительный (при приёме на работу) и периодические медосмотры. Это связано с вредными факторами: контактом с химическими моющими и дезинфицирующими средствами, физической нагрузкой, работой во влажной среде. Состав обследований зависит от конкретных условий труда. Отсутствие медицинских противопоказаний. Гигиеническая подготовка. При приёме на работу и далее не реже одного раза в два года требуется профессиональная гигиеническая подготовка и аттестация с оформлением личной медицинской книжки. Электробезопасность. Присваивается I группа по электробезопасности (за исключением допуска в помещения с повышенной опасностью)

визуально оценивать уровень загрязнения поверхностей; определять оптимальный и безопасный маршрут уборки; подбирать номенклатуру инвентаря и количество расходных материалов; проверять пригодность инвентаря, СИЗ и материалов для работы; готовить моющие и дезинфицирующие растворы заданной концентрации; соблюдать правила применения инвентаря, средств защиты и материалов; оценивать качество выполненных работ; соблюдать требования охраны труда, пожарной и электробезопасности.
