Медсестра проводит физиотерапевтические процедуры (электролечение, магнитотерапия, ультразвуковая и лазерная терапия), помогает восстанавливать утраченные функции (двигательные навыки, мелкую моторику) и бытовые умения. Обучение пациента и его родственников. Специалист учит правильному использованию технических средств реабилитации (ходунки, костыли, коляски), выполнению лечебной гимнастики в домашних условиях, особенностям ухода (профилактика пролежней, контрактур, атрофии), основам безопасного перемещения и самообслуживания. Психологическая поддержка. Медсестра помогает принять новые условия жизни после травм или заболеваний, работает с тревожными и депрессивными состояниями, создаёт мотивацию для продолжения реабилитации, оказывает поддержку членам семьи. Мониторинг изменений в состоянии пациента, оценка эффективности реабилитационных программ и предоставление отчётов врачам. Подготовка пациентов к выписке. Включает рекомендации для близких по уходу в домашних условиях и составление планов постреабилитационной помощи.
