Job Summary

Lead and coordinate daily dining floor operations to deliver exceptional food and beverage service. Supervise and train service teams, manage guest seating and table arrangements, and ensure compliance with service standards and food safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dining floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the service team to maintain high service standards and team performance
  • Assign daily duties and workstations to waiters and service staff to optimize workflow
  • Welcome guests, manage table arrangements, and assist with customer seating to enhance guest experience
  • Ensure timely and professional food and beverage service aligned with restaurant standards
  • Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job training and guidance to improve service quality
  • Enforce proper grooming, hygiene, and professional conduct among all service staff
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to resolve issues effectively
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
  • Monitor table turnover rates and implement strategies to maintain efficient service operations
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and properly set up before and after service periods
  • Check food presentation and service quality to meet customer expectations before serving
  • Assist in managing reservations and accommodate special customer requests
  • Monitor service supplies and report stock shortages promptly to management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, service procedures, and food safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant food and beverage service experience
  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Captain, or Senior Service Crew preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills demonstrated in a restaurant environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills applied to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Good knowledge of restaurant service standards and dining operations
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve service issues effectively
  • Well-groomed, responsible, and customer-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays in a fast-paced restaurant environment
