About Us Bakers Delight Aspley is part of Australia’s leading bakery franchise, known for producing freshly baked bread and quality bakery products every day. We are committed to maintaining high product standards and providing excellent customer service to our local community. Due to business growth, we are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join our bakery team. About the Role As a Baker, you will be responsible for the preparation, baking and presentation of a wide range of breads and bakery products. The role requires strong technical baking skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of bread products including loaves, rolls and specialty breads according to established recipes and production schedules. Measure, weigh and mix ingredients to prepare doughs and batters using both manual and mechanical bakery equipment. Knead, cut, mould and shape dough prior to baking to ensure consistent size, texture and appearance of finished products. Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment including mixers, dough dividers and ovens, adjusting baking times and temperatures where required. Apply toppings, glazes and finishes to baked goods to achieve the required quality and presentation standards. Ensure all food preparation areas are maintained in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor ingredient levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering where required. Requirements Relevant baking qualification or at least two years of relevant experience in a commercial or retail bakery. Sound knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proofing and baking processes. Ability to work early morning shifts and meet production deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy bakery environment.
