About the Employer Our client, Clare Country Club, is a well-established hospitality venue located in the Clare Valley region, known for quality dining, accommodation and guest services. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join their kitchen team and support the delivery of high-quality meals for guests, functions and daily service. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes in line with menu standards, recipes and customer expectations. Menu Support: Assist with menu planning, daily specials and preparation of dishes suitable for restaurant service, functions and events. Ingredient Management: Weigh, measure and prepare ingredients accurately to maintain consistency, portion control and food quality. Cooking Operations: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers and other commercial kitchen equipment. Quality Control: Ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard of taste, presentation, freshness and consistency before service. Stock & Inventory: Assist with ordering, receiving, storing and rotating food supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise wastage. Food Safety & Compliance: Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment, including workstations, utensils and equipment. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other chefs, cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Requirements Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent; or at least three years of relevant experience. Experience: Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, hotel, restaurant or hospitality venue. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, portion control, presentation and kitchen operations. Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility: Availability to work weekends, evenings, public holidays and weekdays as required.
