Job description

Job Title: Technical Services Administrator Location: Halifax, Elland, HX5 9JP Hours: 37.5 hours Working Pattern: Full-time, On-site 5 days per week

Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys keeping things moving, solving problems and making sure customers and colleagues have the information they need?

As a Technical Services Administrator at A-SAFE, you’ll play a key role in supporting our UK sales and operational teams, helping to make sure customer orders are processed accurately, deliveries stay on track and issues are followed through to resolution.

This is a varied, customer-focused role where you’ll be at the centre of the action, working across teams, building strong relationships and taking ownership of multiple priorities. You won’t simply be passing information from one team to another. You’ll be asking the right questions, following things through and making sure work keeps moving.

How you will make an impact:

  • You’ll process customer orders accurately and help manage them through from order entry to delivery.
  • You’ll proactively monitor and chase delivery dates, keeping customers and internal teams updated on progress.
  • You’ll coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), making sure the right information is captured, recorded and progressed with the relevant teams.
  • You’ll support fact-finding when issues arise, helping ensure colleagues have clear and accurate information to reach a resolution.
  • You’ll complete customer pre-qualification questionnaires, bringing together the required company, policy and compliance information.
  • You’ll maintain accurate and up-to-date information across CRM and ERP systems, providing clear visibility of customer and order activity.
  • You’ll work closely with Sales, Technical Services and Operations, building the relationships needed to get answers and keep activity progressing.
  • You’ll liaise with customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear and proactive updates, including when timelines or circumstances change.
  • You’ll manage multiple priorities at the same time, taking ownership of your workload and ensuring important actions don’t get lost.
  • You’ll identify opportunities to improve processes, trackers and ways of working rather than simply accepting when something isn’t working.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in an administration, order processing, sales support, customer service coordination or similar role.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and colleagues across different teams and levels.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on getting information right first time.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to ask questions, chase information and follow tasks through to resolution.
  • Good IT skills and confidence working with business systems.
  • Experience using CRM and/or ERP systems would be beneficial, although training can be provided.

You’ll also bring:

  • A real sense of ownership and accountability for getting things done.
  • A curious and inquisitive approach, with the confidence to ask why when something doesn’t look right.
  • A customer-focused mindset and an understanding of how internal actions ultimately impact the customer.
  • Positive resilience when dealing with changing priorities, delays or challenging conversations.
  • The initiative to organise your own workload.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to build relationships across different teams.
  • The confidence to constructively challenge processes and suggest better ways of working.

Why you’ll love working with us: You’ll join a role that genuinely sits at the heart of how our teams work together. If you enjoy being the person who connects the dots, keeps people informed and makes sure things move forward, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to make an impact.

You’ll build relationships across Sales, Technical Services and Operations, develop a strong understanding of our customer journey and have the opportunity to help shape how the role works in the future. There’s scope to improve processes, introduce better ways of tracking activity and make it easier for teams and customers to get the information they need.

If you’re organised, proactive and customer-focused, and you get satisfaction from taking ownership and keeping things moving, this could be the role for you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
