The posting

The AU International Student Recruitment team is looking for a new student assistant to help with the AU Student Ambassador Network and other tasks.

The student assistant will be part of the International Recruitment team in the Recruitment and Guidance department. The team consists of 5 full-time staff members and around six student assistants.

Primary tasks

You will play an important role in the day-to-day coordination of the AU Student Ambassador Network. The Student Ambassador Network brings together international students at Aarhus University who help prospective students learn more about studying at Aarhus University and student life in Denmark.

Your tasks will include:

  • Staying in regular contact with our Student Ambassadors and following up on their activities on Unibuddy
  • Helping recruit and onboard new Student Ambassadors
  • Helping plan and carry out events for the Student Ambassador Network
  • Helping arrange Instagram takeovers
  • Supporting international student events and activities across AU, such as Intro/ Welcome Days, webinars and campus tours
  • Assisting with practical and administrative tasks related to international student activities and communication

The tasks vary throughout the year, so you should enjoy a role that combines communication, hands-on event support, coordination and administration!

Expected qualifications

We expect that you:

  • Have experience using Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, Teams, and other digital tools
  • Have excellent written and spoken English
  • Are organized and detail-oriented, and comfortable keeping track of several ongoing tasks
  • Can communicate confidently by email and through online platforms
  • Are responsible, reliable and able to take initiative
  • Are approachable and comfortable communicating with students from different countries and cultural backgrounds
  • Are flexible, as some activities and events may take place outside normal office hours

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have previously participated in the AU Student Ambassador Network
  • Have experience organizing events or student-led initiatives
  • Have been involved in student organizations or volunteer networks

As our Student Assistant, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Work independently while being part of a collaborative team
  • Work closely with international students from across AU and build a broad network
  • Gain hands-on experience with event planning and coordination
  • Work with Unibuddy and other digital platforms used in international student recruitment
  • Develop your communication, administrative, organizational and intercultural skills

Location

Your place of work will be the Recruitment and Guidance Office at Frederik Nielsens Vej 5, 8000 Aarhus C

Pay

The position is paid according to the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and HK (read the collective agreement here).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.
