The posting

Introduction to Digital Archives and Methods is a moderately computationally intensive standalone course in History BA.

This course is scheduled on Tuesdays 8 -12 and Thursdays 10 - 14 in weeks 6 - 20. The bulk of assistance is needed in Weeks 6 - 15 in a minimum of 4 hr intervals. Each class is attended by circa 50-60 students who work in groups to complete digital tasks. The course is in-person.

We are looking for 2 teaching student assistants who can support the learners in this course through troubleshooting, assistance and conceptual guidance on the main tasks and themes of the course.

The tasks of the assistants are to provide in-class/remote assistance (in class-time):

  • access to course sources and computational environments

· operation:

  • help students operate the tools introduced in the course and
  • guide students in the pursuit of course tasks. Help interpret tool outputs during the conceptual work towards assessments.
  • Act as student liaisons, translating student needs into technical questions for the instructors.

Selected candidates should show initiative, be digitally savvy and enthusiastic as well as reliable and well-organized. The work requires independence, flexibility, and attention to detail. Furthermore, the candidate should have good interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate's application should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Good command of English and Danish, both oral and written
  • Familiarity with the course materials as well as the digital tools introduced: previous attendance of Digital Archives and Methods or equivalent is recommended.
  • Experience with troubleshooting code and a knack for digital problem-solving
  • Proactive, motivated and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and fellow assistants, as well as liaise with instructors.

Please contact Kathrine Juul Svejstrup [email protected] for more information about the positions.

Applications should address how the applicant fits the qualifications listed above, be written in English and accompanied by a brief CV. Please indicate your availability in class time in weeks 6 to 15 and state which operating systems you are comfortable troubleshooting.

A prerequisite for employment is that the applicant is an actively enrolled student. Employment is subject to the availability of the necessary funding.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within four weeks of the application deadline.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
