About the Role

We are looking for an AI Prompt Engineering Intern to support the development, training and optimisation of AI-powered applications.

This role focuses on designing effective AI prompts, training AI agents and improving the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated responses. You will gain hands-on experience working with generative AI technologies and applying them to real-world business scenarios.

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in artificial intelligence, good analytical skills and a willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise AI prompts for various business applications.
  • Assist in training and refining AI agents to perform specific tasks based on business requirements.
  • Test and evaluate AI-generated responses to ensure accuracy, relevance and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain AI knowledge bases, structured instructions and training materials.
  • Conduct scenario-based testing to evaluate AI performance in different business situations.
  • Identify errors and limitations in AI responses and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand business requirements and improve AI solutions.
  • Document AI testing results, prompt improvements and system performance.
  • Research emerging AI technologies, prompting techniques and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
  • Willingness to learn, experiment and adapt to new AI technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience experimenting with AI agents, chatbots or prompt engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with AI knowledge bases, conversational AI or workflow automation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript or APIs.
  • Personal or academic projects involving generative AI applications.
