Associate Instructional Designer

Why We Have This Role

The global Go-To-Market (GTM) Enablement team owns onboarding, role capability development and ongoing education for internal employees and our partner network for roles which touch the customer during the GTM lifecycle, from sales & pre-sales to delivery & account management. Our team thinks globally for scale, delivering learner-centric enablement experiences. These programs and services have a significant impact on our customers' success and our bottom-line growth.

This role sits on the Instructional Design team, built to deliver high-engagement learning with speed and range. You will develop accurate, impactful digital content across multiple modalities, ensuring our enablement resources remain 'just-in-time' and agile to keep pace with AI led business transformation.

How You’ll Find Success

  • Passion for adult eLearning and creating effective and engaging learning strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific focus on being able to translate complicated concepts into easy-to-understand formats.
  • Comfort using AI as part of your everyday design workflow (drafting, storyboarding, scripting, media generation, quality checks) alongside a clear point of view on where it helps and where it hinders.
  • Organized and dependable across several concurrent projects, working from clear priorities with regular checkpoints from your manager, senior instructional designers and subject matter experts.
  • Adaptable delivery that scales your approach from polished, immersive learning to agile, just-in-time assets to maximize engagement and speed in a fast-moving environment.
  • Fast learner with technical aptitude that enables you to gain expertise across our products, roles and instructional design tech stack.

How You’ll Grow

  • Learn about experience management (XM) as a category, including expert-level technical knowledge.
  • Learn about various sales and services functions across technology companies which lead to successful customer renewals and expansions.
  • Expand your instructional design expertise with direct coaching from senior instructional designers and an active global ID community of practice.
  • Build depth across the enablement tech stack (WorkRamp, Highspot, Articulate 360, WhatFix, Canva) and in the AI tooling layered on top.

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop and launch digital content, with an emphasis on just-in-time learning that can be produced, published, and updated at speed.
  • Build learning content across diverse modalities including e-learning, video, job aids, in-application guidance, and support materials for live sessions.
  • Own the end-to-end process and timeline for your assigned scope, including entry of content into the LMS, Beta launch, and launch support, with senior ID review at key milestones.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate drafting, scripting, media creation, and quality assurance, applying instructional judgment to everything that ships.
  • Interview internal subject matter experts and synthesize concepts.
  • Write course content, including expository text, scripts for animated and testimonial videos, learning activities, and assessment questions that enhance retention.
  • Publicize newly released training content via internal and external marketing channels.
  • Analyze course activity and feedback to prioritize tasks for ongoing refinement and enhancement.
  • Maintain the library of eLearning to keep content current, accurate, and relevant with updated product features and XM methodologies.
  • Research strategies and industry best practices for creating engaging and interactive content for learners.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • 4-5 years of experience in content development, technical writing or online instructional design.
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) or a comparable authoring tool.
  • Working knowledge of at least one enablement or learning platform (WorkRamp, Highspot, WhatFix, or equivalent) and a willingness to learn the rest.
  • Comfort designing in Canva or an equivalent visual design tool.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a design, content, or media production workflow.
  • Ability to convert complex, technical information into easy-to-understand formats.
  • Outstanding organization and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to produce high-quality and polished content.
  • Comfortable in a shifting environment: you raise questions early, adjust when priorities move, and keep work moving without waiting to be unblocked.
  • Even Better if You Have: Knowledge of adult learning theories, Bloom's Taxonomy, instructional design models, and development of assessments / testing. Experience making digital learning interactive, engaging, and social. Experience designing overall curriculum for defined audiences. Video editing experience. Experience reporting on digital learning data (WorkRamp reporting, Tableau, or similar) and turning it into design decisions. Familiarity with Salesforce. Experience with Google distribution lists or comparable audience and distribution management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
