Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Manager, VIP Coverage role is essential for effective resource management across the VIP Authorization system and the global clients it supports. This position provides dedicated oversight to ensure the right resources are aligned to the highest-priority VIP issues, escalations, service needs, and operational initiatives. Without this role, resource allocation may become reactive, fragmented, or dependent on competing priorities across multiple teams.

The VIP Coverage Sr. Manager, part of the Product Reliability and Engineering management team, is responsible and accountable for the support of the VIP Authorization system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for managing and coordinating the efforts of a technical team responsible for the second level problem determination and recovery of the VIP Applications, Operating System, Services and Client related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Coverage Sr. Manager will assist/lead problem triage situations with the appropriate Management lanes, Support groups and Service partners as required and is responsible for tracking progress and final resolution implementation, an addition to assisting the Senior Director of Coverage and Operations with all follow up actions and closures.
  • Serves as SME in development projects representing VIP Coverage.
  • Serves as Project Manager for external/internal projects affecting VIP Coverage.
  • Direct management for multiple staff and levels.

Key work Outputs & Accountabilities:

  • Works closely with service partners such as VIP Operations, VOCC, CCM/CSS and peer development teams to ensure all VIP related services are operational and not causing client impact.
  • Accountable/Responsible for all VIP software and global implementations.
  • Act as Lane Commander for any VIP system related issues.
  • Serves as delegate to Senior Director of VIP Coverage.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD. OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in an Operations, Coverage, or Service Delivery role
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a large datacenter environment with strong technical background in TPF related hardware, software, utilities and OS.
  • Experience with the Visa Systems/Applications, Visa Development Cycle and the TPF Coverage role a plus
  • Strong supervisory, analytical, problem determination and customer relations skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $163,300.00 to $ 261,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
