The posting

The Production Control & Supply Chain Manager oversees production planning and the production schedule, to include forecasting the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the organization from suppliers, monitoring project budgets, managing inventory and the production schedule, strategizing to find cost-effective materials from specified suppliers ,and ensuring materials are delivered according to agreed-upon terms and conditions.  Additionally, the leader of this team should identify the best ways to reduce procurement expenses and manages all production planning and management activities for the site.      Essential Functions To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize purchasing activities, ensuring clarity of specifications and expectations. Oversee and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, capacity constraints, inventory levels, and resource availability. Coordinate with operations, purchasing, engineering, and sales to maintain schedule alignment. Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components. Track and report key metrics to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Manage all aspects of the supply chain and communicate potential risks or obstacles to leadership. Develop procedures for collecting and reporting key performance metrics. Conduct cost analyses, establish benchmarks, prepare budgets, and oversee departmental expenditures. Review planned orders, create purchase requisitions, and manage the approval process. Maintain purchase orders through completion and ensure adherence to supplier agreements. Report and address supplier non‑conformances. Lead finance and logistics teams in resolving receiving and invoicing discrepancies. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Support consolidation and optimization of the supplier base. Set project or production schedules and manage material flow. Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including logistical requirements. Ensure strategic material planning processes support operational continuity. Resolve material planning issues, including shortages or excess deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory of production materials. Develop and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency. Oversee labeling accuracy to ensure correct parts and assemblies reach customers on time. Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and ensure proper inventory control. Supervise direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, and support training and development.

  Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or other related field of study is advantageous Minimum of five (5) years experience in production control or other similar customer or manufacturing support is required Minimum of three (3) years experience in the supervision of personnel is required Experience in the manufacturing industry is required, experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred

Experience utilizing a comprehensive ERP system is required; experience with multiple sites/organizational locations is preferred Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities to appropriately handle unexpected challenges Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing employee and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines Leadership skills evidenced by talent selection, retention, and personnel development Exceptional professional verbal and written communication skills (English) are required Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookups, charts, graphs, and other formulas Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and organizational skills are essential

Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:

Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, stand for long periods to perform job duties Occasionally lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 pounds using peer assistance and/or other lifting & material handling equipment Occasionally reach overhead and reach out or down to floor level to perform job duties Occasionally climb steps, stairs, or ladders Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel Accurately distinguish colors, letters, and numbers Use hands and fingers to operate computer and peripherals and asses inventory items as needed

Working ConditionsWork is performed in a manufacturing environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:

Excessive noise - hearing protection required (occasionally) Dust, fumes/vapors (occasionally) Extreme temperatures (occasionally) Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment

The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection and safety footwear is required; hand protection and other PPE may be required for some tasks
