Senior Messaging Engineer
As a Senior Messaging Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, support and optimization of the Messaging – Microsoft 365/Exchange platform. Prior experience with managing messaging infrastructure, mail flow, security, availability, migrations, user administration, troubleshooting, and integration between on-premises Exchange and cloud services.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in managing Microsoft Exchange Server environments including hybrid and cloud deployments. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and support Microsoft Exchange Server environments, including Exchange 2016/2019 and hybrid deployments
- Manage Exchange Online within Microsoft 365, including mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes, and messaging policies
- Maintain and troubleshoot Hybrid Exchange configurations between on-premises Exchange and Exchange Online
- Manage mailbox provisioning, migration, deprovisioning, permissions, delegates, and mailbox-related configurations
- Configure and troubleshoot mail flow, including connectors, transport rules, accepted domains, routing, and delivery issues
- Troubleshoot email delivery, authentication, Outlook connectivity, mobile access, SMTP, and other messaging-related issues
- Perform Exchange mailbox migrations and monitor Exchange servers, databases, queues, services, certificates, storage, and overall messaging health.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and knowledge articles
- Participate in after-hours support and escalation activities as required including incident, problem and change management tasks
What You’ll Need
- To thrive in this role, 6+ years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online, certs are a plus
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Hybrid deployments, migration including security
- Experience with PowerShell and Exchange Management Shell
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise email delivery and mail-flow issues
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 authentication and identity synchronization
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The starting pay range for this position is:
$132,600.00 - $176,900.00
Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
