As a new company with a long legacy of creating breakthrough solutions for our customers’ toughest challenges, we pioneer game-changing innovations at the intersection of health, material and data science that change patients' lives for the better while enabling healthcare professionals to perform at their best. Because people, and their wellbeing, are at the heart of every scientific advancement we pursue.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Software Business Analyst with Product Owner responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with Product Leadership and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into clear and actionable specifications for our Delivery Team. You will be a key decision maker for clarifying intended outcomes, shaping work into valuable increments, and helping the team make sound trade-offs without escalating every decision.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, document, analyze, and track business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories ensuring clarity, accuracy, and testability.
  • Own, maintain, and order the team backlog based on product goals, customer value, risk, dependencies, and learning needs.
  • Translate product goals and features into understandable outcomes, increments of value, and team-level work.
  • Clarify customer, user, and stakeholder needs, including acceptance criteria, intended results, and relevant constraints.
  • Prepare work sufficiently to enable productive team conversations while avoiding unnecessary prescription of the technical implementation.
  • Balance features, defects, enablers, technical health, compliance needs, operational concerns, and discovery or learning work.
  • Partner with the delivery team to split work into small, testable, and valuable increments.
  • Accept completed work from a product and value perspective, confirming that it satisfies the agreed need and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate continuously with the Delivery Team, Product Manager, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and address emerging information.
  • Communicate priority, scope, decisions, and trade-offs clearly so the team understands what matters now and what comes next.
  • Use feedback and delivery evidence to refine priorities and recommend adjustments to product direction.
  • Participate in continuously evaluating and improving internal processes and methods.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the application components and become a subject matter expert on the features and workflows.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field and seven or more years of experience working in product delivery, business analysis, product ownership, or a closely related role.

OR

  • HS/GED and eleven or more years experience working in product delivery, business analysis, product ownership, or a closely related role.

Additional qualifications that would help you succeed in this role include:

  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative desiring to be a member of a High Performing Team in a complex working environment.
  • Very strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Complex Delivery Experience: Proven ability to deliver in large-scale, complex environments involving multiple stakeholders, multi-scrum teams, and multi-platform features requiring coordinated releases.
  • Front-End Development Expertise: Hands-on experience with customer-facing web solutions, including creating and enhancing customer journeys through workflow definition in collaboration with UX Designers and Researchers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business or product goals into clear outcomes, acceptance criteria, and ordered work.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and explain trade-offs using customer value, evidence, risk, and product context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of iterative or agile product delivery practices and backlog management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively while maintaining clear accountability for team-level product decisions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
