Inbound Sales Consultant (Energy) | South Yarra, Melbourne VIC

Competitive base salary plus super. Uncapped commission. Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm. No weekends.

The opportunity

Customers call us when they are ready to make a decision about their energy. As an Inbound Sales Consultant with Acquire Intelligence you help them decide well.

You will take inbound calls on behalf of one of Australia's leading energy retailers, part of a global group working towards net zero. You will listen, work out what each customer actually needs and match them to the right plan. These customers have already contacted us, so your day is spent in conversations that matter.

This is a sales career for people who back themselves in a conversation and want their results to show in their pay.

Your location and schedule

A rotating roster, Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 7:00pm. No weekend work.

You will work from our office on Chapel Street, South Yarra, a five minute walk from South Yarra train station. We are in one of Melbourne's busiest hubs, with endless shopping and food options, so lunch breaks and after-work plans just got a whole lot better.

How we set you up

A paid, in-person induction of 2 weeks starting on Monday November 16th. You will learn about the energy industry, the products and plans you will sell, the systems you will use and how to sell in line with industry regulation.

After induction, training and development continue, with regular coaching and support to succeed and grow in the role and business.

What you will do

  • Take inbound calls and turn customer enquiries into sales
  • Ask the right questions to understand what each customer needs, then recommend a suitable plan
  • Explain pricing, plans and conditions clearly and accurately, in line with energy industry requirements
  • Meet and exceed your targets without cutting corners, because call quality counts alongside conversion
  • Work across several systems to manage each customer from first call to finished sale

What you bring

  • Experience in sales or customer service. Telco, retail, hospitality, insurance and banking backgrounds all translate well
  • A results-driven mindset and the discipline to reach targets consistently and honestly
  • Clear, warm communication and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Comfort working across multiple systems and digital tools
  • An adaptable attitude, because energy retail moves fast
  • Availability across the full roster and a willingness to work onsite in South Yarra
  • The right to work in Australia, and consent to background checks as part of our hiring process
