Responsibilities

Claims (Primary Focus)

  • Manage a portfolio of claims and litigation matters from initial reporting through resolution, settlement, or closure.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, adjusters, third-party administrators, and outside counsel to facilitate effective claims handling and litigation management.
  • Maintain litigation and claim trackers, reporting tools, and case files to ensure accurate portfolio visibility and timely reporting.
  • Provide insights on open claims, loss experience, and emerging exposures to support insurance program administration, renewals, underwriting submissions, and carrier stewardship activities.

Data / Analytics (Primary Focus)

  • Implement, maintain, and administer the risk management information system (Origami Risk), ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
  • Work with the insurance broker to process acquisitions and dispositions under various insurance policies (NFIP, Environmental, Storage Tank, Bonds).

Acquisitions / Due Diligence

  • Assist with acquisition opportunities by confirming COPE data, exposures, and rates.
  • Request and review acquisition due diligence items (loss runs, inspection reports, environmental reports).

Certificates of Insurance (COIs) / Compliance

  • Ensure lender compliance by processing COIs and other document requests in accordance with loan agreement requirements.
  • Work with the commercial lease compliance team to track tenant insurance coverage and lease expiration dates across triple-net (NNN) properties by reviewing leases, collecting COIs, and adjusting insurance coverage (contingent or primary).

Document Management

  • Maintain an organized digital filing system of insurance policies, endorsements, binders, quotes, COIs, claims, SOV, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exposure to commercial general liability, property, environmental, or other insurance claim types.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in claims management, litigation support, insurance, legal operations, risk management, corporate legal departments, law firms, or related fields.
  • Experience managing or coordinating insurance claims and litigation matters with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and support business decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within multifamily housing, commercial real estate, property management, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with Origami Risk, claims management systems, legal management software, or reporting tools.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting and litigation summaries.
  • Working knowledge of civil litigation processes and legal documentation, including pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, releases, and settlement agreements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
