The posting

Senior Revenue Accountant

AcuityMD is the AI platform for MedTech trusted by over 500 MedTech companies – including 16 of the top 20. Commercial leaders use AcuityMD to identify target markets, surface top opportunities, and grow their business. By combining real-world healthcare data with AI-powered insights, AcuityMD enables companies from pre-commercial to enterprise to understand where and how to sell faster to accelerate the adoption of medical technology. AcuityMD ranked No. 316 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America and was named to Forbes’ 2025 “Next Billion-Dollar Startups” list – an elite group of 25 venture-backed U.S. companies identified as most likely to reach a $1 billion valuation.‍ AcuityMD is backed by Stepstone Group, Benchmark, Redpoint Ventures, ICONIQ, and Atreides Management.

In this role, you will own the day-to-day execution of revenue accounting as AcuityMD scales. You will make sure revenue is recognized accurately, on time, and in line with ASC 606 across subscription, usage-based, and professional services contracts. You will partner with Sales, RevOps, Legal, and Finance so complex deals are understood before they close, and you will help build the controls and processes that keep us audit-ready as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue recognition: Apply ASC 606 to new and amended contracts, including performance obligations, standalone selling price allocation, contract modifications, and variable consideration for usage-based fees.
  • Month-end and quarter-end close: Prepare revenue entries, deferred revenue schedules, and contract-level reconciliations on a predictable close calendar.
  • Systems and data integrity: Maintain the sub-ledger flow between HubSpot and Rillet, reconcile contract data to revenue schedules, and flag gaps before they reach the close.
  • Contract review and deal support: Review non-standard terms such as discounts, free or bundled services, and renewals and upsells, and give Sales and Deal Desk fast, clear guidance on revenue treatment.
  • Commissions accounting: Support capitalized contract cost accounting under ASC 340-40, including amortization schedules and period-end true-ups. [Confirm scope with Jess]
  • Audit readiness: Build and maintain support for revenue and deferred revenue balances, draft technical memos, and respond to auditor requests.
  • Process improvement: Document procedures, tighten controls, and automate manual steps so the function scales without adding headcount at the same pace.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Explain revenue implications in plain language to non-finance teams and help reduce close-time fire drills.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
  • 4–6 years of revenue accounting experience in public accounting and/or a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Hands-on ASC 606 experience with multi-element and usage-based contracts, including SSP analysis and contract modifications.
  • Experience owning a revenue close, including deferred revenue roll-forwards and reconciliations.
  • Comfort with cloud ERP and billing systems (Rillet experience a plus) and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Clear communicator who can explain GAAP to Sales, Legal, and executive stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a bias toward improving the process, not only running it.

Nice to Haves

  • B2B SaaS experience, ideally MedTech or another regulated vertical.
  • Usage-based or hybrid pricing experience and the related ASC 606 implications.
  • Experience with ASC 340-40 deferred commissions.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM and its integration to a revenue sub-ledger.
  • Exposure to SOX scoping or public company readiness work.

Who We Are:

The Company: We are builders, who are inspired by our mission to expand patient access to cutting-edge medical technologies. We value working collaboratively to solve hard problems for our customers with simple, innovative solutions. We push ourselves to learn with empathy. We foster an active culture of mentorship and inclusion, and we welcome new team members that share our values.

We're backed by Benchmark, Redpoint Ventures, Ajax Health, ICONIQ Growth and several other leading software and medical device investors. Since Acuity launched in 2020, we've brought on customers ranging from publicly traded Fortune 500 companies to innovative growth-stage companies and regional medical device distributors.

The Product: AcuityMD uses data and software to help teams collaborate around the complex relationships they have with the users of medical technologies: doctors. Our platform empowers medical technology companies to see how their products are used, understand why outcomes vary, and identify opportunities where physicians or sites of care can better serve their patients.

How We Work:

AcuityMD is a remote-first company. We believe the best talent isn't confined to one zip code, so our team works from wherever they do their best work, across the U.S.

We also believe some of our best work happens face-to-face. Critical projects move faster, our products get better, and our community gets stronger when we're in the same room, so we bring the team together throughout the year for company-wide and team on-sites built around that work.

In practice: expect 4-5 in-person opportunities a year through company/team on-sites and in-person collaboration for critical projects. If you're based near our Boston hub, there's no set requirement for how often you come into the office, that's your call, based on what works best for you and your team.

AcuityMD is an Equal Opportunity Employer

AcuityMD is seeking to create a diverse work environment because all teams are stronger with different perspectives and life experiences. We strongly encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. All employees and contractors of AcuityMD are responsible for maintaining a work culture free from discrimination and harassment by treating others with kindness and respect.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
