Job Description

Acumatica is looking for an energetic VP of Communications to drive and execute public relations, analyst relations, and corporate communications to achieve brand and communications goals.

This is a full-time position reporting to the CMO.

Essential Responsibilities/Objectives:

Media Relations: Develop and execute a comprehensive earned-media strategy encompassing corporate and product news, customer success, executive thought leadership, and proactive storytelling. Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology journalists, editors, and other influential voices. Serve as a company spokesperson, prepare executives for media engagements, and ensure timely, accurate responses to emerging issues. Establish clear measures for coverage quality, message pull-through, share of voice, and reputation impact.

Analyst Relations: Develop and execute a focused analyst relations strategy that builds understanding of Acumatica’s business, product innovation, customer value, and competitive differentiation. Identify priority analysts and influencers; manage briefings, inquiries, evaluations, research submissions, and product demonstrations; and maintain a high-touch engagement cadence. Partner closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, and other teams to deliver clear, evidence-based narratives, translate analyst feedback into actionable insights, and selectively develop analyst-led research and thought leadership content.

Brand Perception and Awareness: Develop communications programs that strengthen Acumatica’s visibility, credibility, and market reputation. Advance executive speaking opportunities, corporate storytelling, awards, external communications assets, and other initiatives that demonstrate customer value and market leadership. Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to develop communications that consistently reinforce the company narrative, positioning, and standards.

Writing and Message Development: Own and evolve Acumatica’s corporate narrative, messaging framework, and priority storylines. Write and edit press releases, thought leadership articles, presentations, broad-reach employee and partner communications, and content for relevant corporate, press, and event pages. Integrate customer and partner evidence into news and thought leadership campaigns, and keep messaging current and aligned across leadership, Marketing, Sales, Product, and other teams. Use AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to support research, drafting, editing, and workflow efficiency while maintaining human review, accuracy, confidentiality, and a distinctive Acumatica voice.

Executive Communications: Develop and execute communications strategies for senior executives, including speeches, presentations, talking points, thought leadership pieces, and executive social content. Provide trusted counsel on messaging, positioning, audience needs, media interactions, and public appearances. Lead content development for priority company moments, including Acumatica Summit, all-company meetings, partner community webinars, roadshows, and other executive engagements.

Social Media Management: Oversee corporate and executive social media strategies that strengthen brand visibility, thought leadership, and audience engagement. Collaborate with agency partners and internal teams to maintain a consistent, timely, and audience-relevant presence across priority platforms. Use channel analytics, social listening, and emerging-issue monitoring to improve performance and inform broader communications strategies.

Editorial and Content Quality Oversight: Lead the editing and writing function to maintain clear, accurate, consistent, and high-quality communications across channels. Establish editorial standards, review and approval processes, and practical quality controls for both human- and AI-assisted content. Ensure communications reflect the company’s messaging, tone, accessibility standards, and business priorities.

Communications Budget Management: Own and manage the public relations, analyst relations, content, social media, and communications program budget. Lead annual planning and forecasting, manage agency and vendor relationships, evaluate program effectiveness, and allocate resources to the initiatives with the greatest strategic and business impact.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
