The posting

The SVP, Head of Industry Strategy, Finance and Insurance leads Acxiom's strategy across the financial services and insurance verticals, including banking, lending, cards, wealth management, and property, casualty, and life insurance. This senior leader sets direction for the finance and insurance teams and serves as the strategic authority for how Acxiom grows in categories where data is heavily regulated and consumer trust is central to every relationship.

The role pairs commercial growth with a working command of the rules that govern data in these industries. It partners with sales and client leadership to prioritize accounts and accelerate deals, while making sure every solution respects the line between marketing use of data and regulated credit and underwriting use. This is a leadership role that stays close to the detail, building enough depth to guide teams and earn credibility with the marketing, data, and compliance stakeholders on the client side.

Success means Acxiom is seen across finance and insurance as a partner that understands both the growth opportunity and the regulatory guardrails, with measurable revenue to show for it.

COMPETENCIES

  • Leadership: Set strategic direction for the finance and insurance teams and build a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Financial Services and Insurance Strategy: Shape go to market strategy across banking, lending, cards, wealth management, and property, casualty, and life insurance, tied to real client priorities.
  • Regulatory Fluency: Bring a working command of GLBA, FCRA, and state insurance oversight under the NAIC framework, including the difference between marketing data and permissible purpose credit and underwriting data.
  • Data and Identity Depth: Understand how first party transaction, policy, and claims data, credit based signals, and household and policy level identity resolution come together to power compliant, high performing marketing.
  • Revenue Growth: Partner with sales and client leadership to prioritize accounts, advance pursuits, and grow revenue across the finance and insurance portfolio.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Align product, delivery, and analytics teams around the needs of regulated finance and insurance clients.
  • Executive Communication: Represent Acxiom in senior client and internal forums, including with marketing, data, and compliance leaders, with clear narratives around value and outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategy and growth across financial services and insurance, including banking, lending, cards, wealth management, and property, casualty, and life insurance.
  • Set direction and priorities for the finance and insurance teams and support their development.
  • Partner with sales and client leadership to prioritize accounts and accelerate revenue.
  • Translate the regulatory realities of these industries into solution strategies clients can act on, keeping marketing use separate from permissible purpose credit and underwriting use.
  • Guide compliant growth use cases such as prescreen firm offers of credit and insurance, cross sell across affiliated lines of business, retention, and agent and advisor enablement.
  • Shape proposals, pricing, and delivery approaches suited to regulated finance and insurance clients.
  • Serve as a senior strategic resource in client engagements, business reviews, and deal pursuits.
  • Provide client driven input to inform Acxiom's product and solution roadmap.
  • Represent Acxiom's finance and insurance capabilities in executive and external forums.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in industry strategy, client leadership, or solution selling, with significant time in financial services or insurance.
  • Working knowledge of the regulations that govern data in these industries, including GLBA, FCRA and permissible purpose, credit based insurance scoring, and state insurance oversight under the NAIC framework.
  • Understanding of the data that drives finance and insurance marketing, including first party transaction and policy data, credit based signals, and household and policy level identity resolution.
  • Strong background in data driven marketing, identity, and activation strategy, including experience with CDPs and clean rooms.
  • Proven success leading teams and growing revenue in a matrixed organization.
  • Executive communication skills, with a track record of building trusted senior client relationships across marketing, data, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, financial acumen, and writing skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client engagements and planning.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
