The posting

Adams Street Partners (“Adams Street”) is a global private markets investment manager that has nearly $76 billion* in assets under management. The firm is 100% employee-owned, which fosters a positive and unique culture of collaboration, intellectual rigor, integrity, and a commitment to professional development. For the eighth year in a row, Adams Street was named one of Pension & Investments’ Best Places to Work in Money Management in 2025.

Employees operate as a single global team, integrating the expertise of the firm’s investment professionals across five strategies: primary investments, secondary investments, growth equity, private credit, and co-investments. Adams Street is considered a private markets pioneer and was inducted into the Private Equity Hall of Fame in 2000.

The firm was founded more than 50 years ago, and clients include leading public and corporate pension plans, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, registered investment advisors, and high net worth individuals worldwide.

Adams Street has offices in Abu Dhabi, Austin, Beijing, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Munich, Menlo Park, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.

*As of June 30, 2026. Adams Street Partners’ methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology. This updated methodology more closely aligns with (i) the amount of assets managed on behalf of investors and (ii) the amount of capital available to make direct and/or partnership investments. Amounts stated by investment advisers in regulatory filings (“regulatory AUM”) have a prescribed methodology, which may, in some circumstances, differ from the methodology such adviser uses for other purposes, including marketing efforts. Additional information is available upon request.

Overview

As a member of the Private Equity Operations Team, the Senior Associate, Treasury Operations will provide operational support for Adams Street’s fund investment entities and separate account clients, with a focus on cash movements, wire processing, cash reconciliations, and related internal controls.

This role is an experienced individual contributor who can independently manage day-to-day treasury workflows and apply sound judgment to exceptions. • Process transactions for fund investment entities and separate account clients, including capital calls, distributions, and other investment-related cash activity.
  • Initiate, monitor, and settle domestic and international cash wire and FX transactions through the treasury management system and applicable banking platforms.
  • Apply working knowledge of wire setup, payment workflows, transaction verification, approval requirements, settlement monitoring, and exception resolution.
  • Follow established security protocols and internal controls for wire processing, escalating unusual, incomplete, or higher-risk activity to the appropriate manager.
  • Reconcile investment fund cash activity daily and support the resolution of complex or aged reconciliation breaks in partnership with Investment Accounting.
  • Interact with custodian banks, administrators, investment fund contacts, and other external partners to prevent and resolve operational issues.
  • Respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders with accurate, clear, and timely information.
  • Contribute to process improvements, application development, testing, automation, and rollout initiatives that improve scalability and reduce manual effort.
  • Support cross-functional projects with Investment Accounting, Client Operations, Technology, and other teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Adams Street’s investment strategies, private markets operations, and operational infrastructure.
  • Comply with all internal controls, audit requirements, security measures, compliance standards, and firm policies.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in treasury operations, cash management, financial operations, or a related function within financial services.
  • Experience in a high-volume, control-focused environment with responsibility for managing multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
  • Experience with private equity, private credit, or other private markets asset classes required.
  • Demonstrated experience processing cash wires and working with banking platforms, including domestic and international payments.
  • Practical knowledge of wire workflows, including setup, payment release and approval processes, settlement, monitoring, and resolution of exceptions.

Communication

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external contacts across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Ability to clearly communicate transaction details, issues, risks, and recommended next steps.
  • Ability to write accurate, clear, concise, and professional messages.

Work Style

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Detail-oriented, process-minded, and precise, with a consistent focus on accuracy and control adherence.
  • Sound judgment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Collaborative team player who is willing to share knowledge, support team coverage, and contribute to team priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow throughout the day while managing changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in identifying inefficiencies and bringing forward practical ideas for process improvement and automation.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills required; VBA, programming, data analysis, or automation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with treasury management systems, banking portals, proprietary software programs, and database systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of wire processing and cash movement workflows; familiarity with FX transactions is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
