Trainee Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Installation Engineer

Location: Central Belt Scotland (with travel throughout the UK) Driving Licence Required

Unlike many engineering contractors, all installation work is carried out by directly employed engineers, meaning you'll become part of a supportive team where your development is a priority.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client is expanding their Projects team and is looking to recruit engineers at a variety of levels, including:

  • Trainee Mechanical Fitter
  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Mechanical Installation Engineer

The business is far more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn than simply the job title on your CV.

  • Stairlift or Lift Engineers
  • Medical Device Engineers

If you're reliable, eager to learn and enjoy practical work, full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll help install industrial extraction and ventilation systems at customer sites across the UK.

As your experience grows, you'll learn to:

  • Install bespoke mechanical ventilation and extraction systems
  • Read engineering drawings
  • Use a variety of mechanical hand and power tools
  • Work safely on customer sites
  • Deliver high-quality installations
  • Build the skills needed to become a fully competent Mechanical Installation Engineer

Interview Process

Interviews will take place in Glasgow during the first week of August.
