Role overview The Internal Business Development Executive is responsible for growing revenue across our trade account base, building strong relationships with customers and maximising their revenue growth.
Working primarily by telephone, and supported by email, social channels and WhatsApp broadcasts, the role combines genuine relationship building with a commercial focus, getting to know each customer’s business needs and identifying opportunities to increase spend.
The role also plays a key part in onboarding newly created trade accounts and championing new product development, ensuring our customers are the first to hear about new products, launches and offers.
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Strategically contacting the existing account base by telephone, building strong, long-term relationships with trade customers.
- Understanding each customer’s business, needs and goals, identifying opportunities to grow spend through upselling.
- Re-engage lapsed or low-activity accounts, encouraging repeat orders.
- Follow up on newly created trade account applications in a timely manner, welcoming new customers to Remi Cachet.
- Support new accounts through to their first order, ensuring they understand our products, pricing and ordering process.
- Champion new product development (NPD), ensuring the account base is informed about new products, ranges and launches.
- Communicate current offers and promotions, maximising uptake across the account base.
- Promote our education offering to customers, upselling our training opportunities.
- Contact prospective stylists and salons, educating them on the commercial benefit of hair extensions, and the Remi Cachet offering.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of accounts, calls and follow-ups in the CRM
- Support the wider team with sales and education administration and coordination.
About You We’re ideally looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a telesales, internal sales or business development role, ideally within the professional hair or beauty industry.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to identify sales opportunities, confidently upsell and maximise revenue.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with customers over the telephone.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience using CRM systems to manage customer information, sales activity and follow-ups.
- Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to remain positive and focused when handling objections or rejection.
- Target-driven, with a proven ability or willingness to work towards sales targets and KPIs.
- A proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and developing existing customer relationships.
- A genuine interest in the professional hair industry, with an understanding of the needs of salons and stylists.
