Job Description

Summary:

The Strategic Sourcing Team drives significant value for ADT by improving commercial outcomes, managing supplier risk, and enabling the business to acquire the goods and services it needs. The Senior Sourcing Specialist supports and independently leads sourcing and contracting activities across indirect spend categories, partnering with category managers and business stakeholders to deliver measurable value.

This role combines strategic sourcing, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will also help modernize procurement by applying artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and procurement technology to improve intake, sourcing, contracting, data quality, cycle time, compliance, and the stakeholder experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support sourcing and contracting activities across ADT indirect spend categories, such as marketing, sales, HR services, MRO, professional and corporate services, contact centers, fleet, and transportation services.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and Sourcing Managers to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies, conduct market and supplier research, and execute RFI, RFP, and negotiation processes.
  • Independently manage assigned sourcing projects from intake through contract execution, including project planning, supplier communications, proposal analysis, commercial negotiations, stakeholder alignment, approvals, and implementation handoff.
  • Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, total cost of ownership, commercial terms, service levels, technology capabilities, and risks; develop clear, fact-based recommendations for supplier selection and negotiation strategy.
  • Support contract development and execution in partnership with Legal, Risk, Finance, Information Security, and other cross-functional teams, while ensuring required approvals and procurement policies are followed.
  • Identify and deliver savings, cost avoidance, demand management, supplier consolidation, process efficiency, and other measurable value opportunities; maintain accurate project documentation and benefits tracking.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, communicate project status and risks, resolve roadblocks, and help ensure sourcing outcomes meet business objectives.
  • Support supplier performance and relationship management activities, including business reviews, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and transition of completed sourcing activities to the appropriate business or vendor management owner.
  • Apply AI and automation to procurement activities such as spend and market analysis, requirements development, supplier research, bid comparison, contract review support, risk identification, summarization, and reporting, with appropriate human review, data protection, and governance.
  • Assist with enhancing procurement and sourcing processes by identifying, testing, documenting, and implementing practical improvements using AI and new procurement tools.
  • Support structured procurement intake, workflow routing, stakeholder coordination, approvals, status visibility, and process adoption.
  • Use Ironclad to support contract request intake, workflow coordination, contract data quality, repository practices, reporting, and continuous improvement of the contract lifecycle process.
  • Develop playbooks, templates, standard work, help content, training materials, and adoption support that enable stakeholders and the Procurement team to use sourcing processes, AI capabilities, and procurement systems effectively.
  • Monitor process and technology performance, identify recurring pain points or control gaps, and recommend enhancements based on user feedback, workflow data, business needs, and procurement best practices.

Competencies:

  • Strategic sourcing knowledge: Applies category management, competitive sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management principles to deliver business value.
  • Analytical and financial acumen: Uses data to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate proposals, model total cost, assess trade-offs, and develop concise, decision-ready recommendations.
  • AI and digital procurement fluency: Understands practical procurement use cases for generative AI, analytics, and automation and can translate them into controlled, repeatable workflows with appropriate human oversight.
  • Procurement technology capability: Learns and uses platforms such as Zip HQ and Ironclad effectively and can help improve workflows, data standards, reporting, user guidance, and adoption.
  • Process improvement: Maps current processes, identifies root causes and inefficiencies, designs practical improvements, and measures whether changes improve cycle time, compliance, quality, or stakeholder experience.
  • Responsible AI and data stewardship: Exercises sound judgment when using AI, protects confidential and supplier information, validates outputs, identifies potential errors or bias, and follows company policies and approved-use requirements.
  • Project ownership: Prioritizes work, manages multiple initiatives, anticipates risks, removes roadblocks, and follows through on commitments with limited supervision.
  • Stakeholder influence: Builds trust, facilitates alignment, communicates clearly, and balances business needs with procurement, legal, risk, and financial requirements.
  • Negotiation and commercial judgment: Negotiates skillfully in challenging situations and can be direct and assertive while remaining collaborative and diplomatic.
  • Change leadership: Supports new ways of working through clear communication, training, documentation, feedback, and reinforcement across formal and informal networks.
  • Continuous learning: Stays current on supplier markets, procurement practices, AI capabilities, and new technology, and quickly applies relevant learning to business needs.
  • Customer focus and collaboration: Works proactively across teams, responds effectively to feedback, and consistently delivers high-quality support to internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business, technology, operations management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 4-6 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, supplier management, procurement operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sourcing projects, competitive bid events, supplier negotiations, proposal analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Working knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship management, procurement governance, and savings or value tracking.
  • Experience using procurement, intake, contract lifecycle management, source-to-pay, analytics, or workflow tools. Experience with Zip HQ, Ironclad, SAP Ariba, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation, analytics, or advanced productivity tools in a business environment is preferred; procurement-related application is strongly valued.
  • Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills, with the ability to extract key themes, determine root causes, and present concise recommendations.
  • Ability to build effective relationships, influence peers and key stakeholders, and build consensus in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with reporting or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, C.P.M., CSCP, PMP, or a comparable procurement, supply chain, project management, or technology credential is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
