We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team and contribute to the long-term evolution, compatibility, and quality assurance of the T2000/T6391 System Software platform.

The focus of this position is ensuring the compatibility, quality, and stability of the T2000/T6391 System Software and customer test programs as Microsoft development tools evolve. The role involves supporting Visual Studio and MSVC (Microsoft C++ Build Tools) version upgrades by performing build verification, testing, issue analysis, and problem resolution across the software platform.

In addition, this position will contribute to the design, development, and automation of test environments for the T2000 TPIDE (Test Program Integrated Development Environment) integrated with Visual Studio, helping improve development productivity, software quality, and release efficiency.

We plan to explore VS Code support based on the Language Server Protocol (LSP) in the future.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform build verification and compatibility assessment of T2000/T6391 System Software when upgrading Visual Studio and MSVC versions · Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve build, compiler, linker, and runtime issues resulting from development toolchain upgrades · Perform build verification, testing, and issue analysis for T2000 customer device test programs impacted by Visual Studio and MSVC version upgrades · Investigate software compatibility issues across different compiler and Windows platform versions · Design, develop, and maintain test cases for the T2000 TPIDE integrated with Visual Studio · Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD-based automated test frameworks and test execution environments. · Implement GUI test automation and regression testing capabilities for TPIDE · Improve software quality, test coverage, and development efficiency through automation · Analyse technical issues and propose solutions to enhance maintainability and long-term platform stability · Collaborate with development teams in Japan and other international locations · Contribute to continuous improvement of development, build, and testing processes

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field · 5+ years of proven software development experience · Software development experience using C++ and C# · Strong understanding of the Windows platform and Windows application development · Understanding of software build systems, compilers, and development toolchains · Ability to investigate, analyse, and resolve compatibility issues and build errors caused by Visual Studio and MSVC version upgrades · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Experience with software debugging and troubleshooting · Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git · Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot · Good written and spoken English · Ability to work effectively in an international and distributed development environment

Preferred Qualifications · Experience in embedded systems or embedded software platform development · Experience with Visual Studio-based application development · Knowledge of Microsoft C++ Build Tools (MSVC), compiler technologies, and software migration activities · Experience developing automated test frameworks or test automation tools · Experience with AI-native software development workflows · Experience with GUI testing and automated UI testing technologies · Knowledge of software quality assurance, regression testing, and continuous integration environments · Experience maintaining large-scale software products across multiple toolchain generations · Understanding of semiconductor test systems or ATE-related software environments

What You Will Work On You will help ensure the long-term stability and compatibility of the T2000/T6391 software platform as Microsoft development technologies continue to evolve. Your work will directly support the adoption of new Visual Studio and MSVC versions across both system software and customer test applications, while continuously improving testing efficiency through automation. By developing automated verification and testing capabilities for TPIDE and system software components, you will contribute to higher software quality, faster release cycles, and a more robust development environment for future T2000 platforms.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
