Role Summary As the Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you are responsible for undertaking day to day best practice delivery of echocardiography testing and scanning procedures for Advara HeartCare patients under the direction and supervision of the Lead Specialist Cardiac Physiologist. This role may also undertake a range of other support functions necessary as delegated by the Clinical Services Manager for the effective operation of the clinical services unit. It is expected that Specialist Cardiac Physiologists will be undertaking post- graduate Professional Development and will seek the support and advice of the Lead Specialist Cardiac Physiologist via ad hoc coaching and mentoring. Key Responsibilities In this role, you are responsible for:
Delivery of High Quality, Accurate & Efficient Non-Invasive Services Manage patients and operate cardiac ultrasound and testing equipment in accordance with professional standards, to obtain the appropriate and optimal cardiac images and information to support medical diagnosis by a Cardiologist and subsequent management of pathological findings Receive and correctly interpret requests from referrers for cardiac procedures to be performed on patients Correctly identify all patients in accordance with company/professional protocols Investigate patient medical history and details of previous relevant reports Document patient’s condition, with particular emphasis on the characteristics, location and extent of any pathology, when present Determine the appropriate ultrasound examination techniques that will provide optimal diagnostic information for the Cardiologist Ensure patients are comfortable and have an explanation of the appropriate examination - obtain patient consent complying with clinical protocols View, analyse and modify the exam to optimize the information acquired consulting with colleagues and the Cardiologist as required Analyse test data and summarize the information/findings in order to support the Cardiologist’s correct diagnosis/conclusions and answer the clinical question Complete all worksheets and documentation and update patient records Ensure procedures/tests undertaken are accurately reflected in patient billing/invoice Ensure data acquired is labelled correctly

Consistently deliver high levels of patient care and customer service and demonstrate a strong commitment to building patient and referrer satisfaction and loyalty Understand and adhere to Advara HeartCare iCARE patient care and customer service standards Greet and farewell patients in a caring, friendly and professional manner Anticipate and respond immediately to all patient, carer and referrer enquiries, address their needs as a priority, and ensure follow-up as required Build strong and cooperative relationships with referrers, and in particular regarding their urgent/complex requests and requirements Explain procedures and provide instructions to patients in clear, simple, accurate and concise terms, ensuring understanding and that any questions or concerns are addressed Show concern and provide support for patients throughout the entire service experience - protect the patients’ privacy and dignity at all times Present self professionally, including adhering to dress code policy & grooming standards Ensure the clinic working environment is always clean, tidy and well maintained including regular replacement of testing room linen Respond to and manage customer complaints, comments and feedback following company procedures, and escalating to management when require Commitment to Quality, Safety & Risk Management Work closely with managers, Cardiologists and all staff to ensure a duty of care is provided to all patients, to promote and maintain quality standards within each clinic, and provide a safe working environment for all staff, patients and visitors Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with industry quality management standards, laws and regulations, company operational and administration management systems, policies and procedures. and clinical procedures and protocols Understand and adhere to Advara HeartCare’s Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, policies and procedures, and actively participate in the recognition and prevention of hazardous situations in the workplace Comply with ultrasound and test equipment usage guidelines and document and report issues, faults and failures when they arise Provide support for the company/clinic as required in order to meet quality assurance standards and accreditation

Demonstrate personal commitment to the ongoing growth and success of the clinic and business overall , and support changes to systems and processes in order to continually improve the quality, efficiency and timeliness of services delivery and improve patient and referrer satisfaction and loyalty Support and participate in the development and implementation of ideas and changes to improve the way services are delivered and business targets achieved Maintain detailed knowledge of the services provided by the clinics in order to be able to promote to patients and referrers as required Support and participate in the development of new business opportunities as required Contribute positively to the development of a positive and professional image for the clinic and business overall, and protection of the company/brand value
Relationships Management & Teamwork
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, managers and other stakeholders, to support excellence in service delivery and achieve overall business objectives Cooperate and provide support for managers, staff and Cardiologists to ensure all testing services/appointments are delivered in an efficient and timely manner, ‘urgent’ requests are serviced, workload is managed and all work is completed on a daily basis Contribute to a positive and productive clinic and team environment through effective communication and teamwork and by establishing strong working relationships with all staff and Cardiologists Develop and manage effective working relationships with key external organizations and service providers as required Provide back-up and support as required for other clinics - particularly during peak periods and absenteeism Consistently demonstrate a commitment to living Advara HeartCare’s Values and contributing to the development of a positive and productive culture and working environment

Develop self professionally and share relevant knowledge and information with others in the team, in order to maintain accreditation and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Advara HeartCare organisation Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills, expertise and capabilities of self, and keep abreast of advancements in imaging and test equipment technology Provide support, training and development for other clinical and administration staff and students in the clinics where required Manage own performance standards day-to-day and engage in company performance management and development processes Attend company training sessions and staff development programs as required
Reporting lines This position reports directly to Lead Specialist Cardiac Physiologist This position has no direct reports Your key working relationships In this position, you need to develop strong relationships with the following internal positions: State Management team · Cardiologists · Clinical Services Manager and Lead Cardiac Physiologist · Clinical and clerical staff working in the clinic In addition, you need to develop strong relationships with various external individuals/ agencies/ key stakeholders, such as · Patients and carers · Referring doctors and allied health professionals · Visitors to the clinic – including suppliers · Local communities in which the clinic is located · Public and private hospital doctors and staff (if hospital-based clinic) Experience and Qualifications · Registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) · Current relevant echocardiography professional registration and/or license as appropriate · Current Basic Life Support / CPR Certificate preferred · Demonstrated command of echocardiography techniques employed to image various organs to the accepted industry standards or above · Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the physical principles and technology of diagnostic echocardiography · Experience in delivering patient care and customer service · Demonstrated skills in using medical software technology Other requirements for this role · Current Basic Life Support / CPR Certificate preferred · Ability to occasionally frequently interstate Our purpose Improve Australia’s Heart Health Our Vision A future where world-class care, is the standard of care.
