The posting

Het sales team van de Business Unit Automation is op zoek naar versterking. We bieden een uitdagende job in een multidisciplinaire technologiegroep in volle expansie. Er zijn veel mogelijkheden tot zelfontplooiing en doorgroeien.

Functie

Binnen de functie Technical Sales Engineer Automation behoren volgende zaken tot je dagdagelijkse bezigheden:

  • Go-to partner zijn voor je klanten en het onderhouden van commerciële contacten.
  • Je legt nieuwe contacten en spot opportuniteiten.
  • Klanten proactief adviseren in hun toekomstige projecten.
  • Technische besprekingen voeren voor de opmaak van offertes; je werkt hiervoor technische concepten uit op maat van de klant, al dan niet in samenspraak met de ervaren automation engineers en project managers.
  • Prijscalculatie, het technisch uitwerken van offertes en deze verder opvolgen.
  • Prijsonderhandelingen en uiteindelijke contractbesprekingen.
  • Het verlenen van commerciële ondersteuning en bewaken klant tevredenheid tijdens het project.
  • Financiële nacalculaties uitvoeren op uitgevoerde projecten.
  • Financiële balansevaluatie in samenwerking met de Project Manager.
  • Nauwe communicatielijnen en samenwerkingen initiëren met de BU Manager, Project Engineers, Project Managers en collega Sales Engineers van andere business units.
  • Je volgt de technologische evolutie op de voet en bepaalt samen met de BU Manager de te volgen strategie.

Profiel

Voor de functie van Sales Engineer Automation herken je je in onderstaande kwaliteiten:

  • Master of bachelor diploma in een technische richting of je bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Je bent gepassioneerd door automatisering, elektromechanica en elektrotechniek.
  • Een sterke persoonlijkheid die beschikt over goede motivatie- en communicatievaardigheden.
  • Je enthousiasme zorgt ervoor dat je vlot deuren opent.
  • Vlotte onderhandelaar die beschikt over goede organisatorische en administratieve capaciteiten.
  • Accuraatheid; je hebt oog voor detail en kwaliteit.
  • Bouwkundige tekeningen, elektrische schema’s, P&ID, … hebben geen geheimen voor jou.
  • Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands. Je begrijpt en spreekt Engels en je kan je behelpen in het Frans.
  • Je bent in het bezit van een rijbewijs B.

Profiel:

  • Hogere technische opleiding aangevuld met minimaal 10 jaar ervaring binnen automatisatie, elektromechanica, software of elektrotechniek.
  • Uitwerken van technische concepten en klantencontact zijn energiegevers.
  • Je staat open om verschillende sectoren en probleemstellingen van de klant te leren kennen. Dit gaande van automatisatie binnen de procesindustrie (chemie, voeding, …) tot automotive. De nodige ondersteuning en opleidingen worden voorzien, waarbij je eerst binnen jouw comfortzone van kennis zal starten en zo opbouwend naar complexere vraagstukken en verschillende industrieën zal groeien.
