The Senior Analyst will serve as a hands-on subject matter resource for YCharts, Black Diamond, and related investment platforms. The role will help execute and improve standardized workflows for portfolio reviews, proposals, model and target implementation, transition planning, data validation, and analytical support while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and client focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Advisors and Sales on new business opportunities, prospect presentations, and portfolio reviews.
  • Analyze prospective and existing portfolios across asset allocation, diversification, strategy, manager, fund, security, risk, performance, and other portfolio characteristics.
  • Prepare investment proposals, portfolio comparisons, presentation materials, and supporting analysis for client and prospect discussions.
  • Identify portfolio observations and potential opportunities, clearly documenting assumptions, limitations, and follow-up items for review.
  • Execute standardized proposal and portfolio review workflows and recommend improvements that enhance quality, consistency, turnaround time, and the advisor experience.
  • Translate approved client objectives, investment strategies, target allocations, and restrictions into portfolio strategies, models, and targets within Black Diamond and YCharts.
  • Support the establishment, validation, and maintenance of models, portfolio targets, and transition plans for new clients and existing clients moving to new strategies.
  • Coordinate with Advisors, Client Service, Investment, and Operations teams to obtain required inputs, resolve open questions, and confirm that portfolios are configured appropriately before execution.
  • Provide clear, complete, and well-documented handoffs to the Trading Team once implementation requirements are finalized, and assist with resolving post-handoff questions or exceptions.
  • Lead centralized portfolio analytics supporting Advisors, Investment Management, the CIO, and firm leadership, including asset allocation, exposures, holdings, risk, performance, and portfolio characteristics.
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc portfolio analytics, including asset allocation, exposures, holdings, concentration, risk, performance, fees, and portfolio characteristics.
  • Prepare actionable analysis to support portfolio decisions, client questions, portfolio reviews, and investment discussions, including manager, fund, security, strategy, and portfolio comparisons.
  • Create concise one-page tear sheets, portfolio summaries, and investment analyses for client meetings and internal discussions.
  • Use YCharts and other approved research and analytical tools to improve research efficiency and strengthen portfolio and investment insights.
  • Respond to analytical requests with appropriate prioritization, documentation, quality review, and escalation of complex or sensitive matters.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.

Basic Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in wealth management, investment management, portfolio analytics, or a related investment function.
  • Strong understanding of investment portfolios, asset allocation, securities, investment strategies, performance, risk, and portfolio construction concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with YCharts, Morningstar, Black Diamond, or a similar portfolio implementation and analytics platform.
  • Experience with portfolio models, performance reporting, investment analytics, and data quality controls.
  • Ability to translate investment and portfolio data into clear, actionable analysis and client-facing materials.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of YCharts or comparable investment research and portfolio analysis tools.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex portfolio, data, and system issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Systems and operational thinking, with an understanding of how investment systems, data, processes, and reporting interact.
  • Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and collaborate across Investment Operations, Client Service, Advisory, Finance, Technology, and external partners.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
