  • Support project managers in maintaining strong financial performance, forecasting, cost control, profitability, and delivery discipline.
  • Coordinate workload and resource planning to align available staff with current and anticipated project requirements.
  • Monitor utilization, staffing requirements, and workload forecasts to identify capacity constraints, underutilization, and emerging resource needs.
  • Work closely with project managers, technical leaders, project controls, and finance to improve visibility and accountability for project performance.
  • Identify projects requiring additional management attention and coordinate appropriate support and corrective actions.
  • Reinforce consistent project management, operational controls, reporting, and business processes.
  • Support effective project delivery and client satisfaction by helping teams identify and address operational issues early.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the Saskatoon team and the broader Buildings + Places organization to access expertise and resources when required.
  • Support business planning and execution of operational priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and disciplined project delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in operations, project delivery, project management, business management, project controls, or a related function within a project-based professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting the financial and operational performance of projects or a portfolio of projects.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, workload planning, resource management, and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with project managers, technical professionals, business leaders, and corporate support functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify operational issues, establish priorities, coordinate corrective actions, and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and establish accountability across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within architecture, engineering, consulting, buildings, infrastructure, or a multidisciplinary professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting the operations of an office, business unit, or portfolio of projects.
  • Experience with project financial performance, resource forecasting, utilization management, and operational reporting.
  • Experience supporting project managers in improving project execution and resolving performance challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines and business functions.
  • Experience implementing or improving operational processes, management controls, and performance reporting.
  • Understanding of the commercial and operational drivers of a consulting and professional services business.

Additional Information

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
