Job Summary: The Security Department’s team is responsible for the safety and security of Crypto.com Arena’s guests, team members, and assets at all times. A Full-Time Officer II must be able to take on additional shift responsibilities and duties when the supervisor is not present. This is a full-time, non-union, hourly employee.

Essential Functions:

Non-Event Security Officer

  • Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue’s Event Policies at all times including oversight of visitor management, credential enforcement and Security entry screening processes.
  • Assist with directional and informational inquiries.
  • Take direction from Supervisors and provide direction to PT Officer 1’s and 2’s during Emergency Response and assist guests by providing direction and feedback.
  • Conduct patrols of the building on a regular basis
  • Utilize radios for communicating incidents.
  • Respond to all security and safety related issues in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and compile information for Supervisors.
  • Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without the loss of efficiency or composure.
  • Use excellent customer service skills when interacting with guests, clients, and staff.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by Security Managers and Supervisors.
  • Comply with all legal and ethical instructions given by Security Managers and Supervisors.
  • Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly relay relevant information when requested.
  • Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and staff during intensely aggravated circumstances.
  • Ability to maintain guest, team member, and company confidentiality.
  • Have full knowledge of 24/7 Security Operations to include but not limited to: Ramp Procedures, Administrative Office Procedures, Command Center Procedures, Non-Event access control etc.
  • Understand and operate Crypto.com Arena's security systems (Genetec, 24/7 Incident Command, Fire Alarm System, AVTEC Dispatch, C-Cure Access Control, Visitor Management, Ramp Bollards and Access Gate, X-Ray Machine etc.).
  • Be able to be utilized as an experienced resource in a sensitive and/or high profile area/post during any event as needed.
  • Work closely with the Senior Supervisor to accomplish shift’s daily tasks in a timely manner.
  • Fill-in for Senior Supervisor Open shifts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Staff Training

  • Assist with Department hiring during the new hire orientation training by being a Coach.
  • Assist with training of new Security Officers during On The Job by being a Coach.
  • Assist with training of new FT Security Officers during On The Job by being a Coach.

Intradepartmental Needs

  • Promote ENCORE|LA by becoming an ENCORE|LA advocate for its core principles and values.

Interdepartmental Communications

  • Complete all required trainings assigned via Human Resources in a timely manner.

Time Management

  • Complete Rest/Meal breaks in accordance with California Labor Laws.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or it’s equivalency.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Candidate must be able to work any shift as needed at Crypto.com Arena.
  • Currently a Full-Time Officer in good standing, having served at least 1 year with the Department.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, guests, visitors, clients, and vendors.
  • An understanding of the rules of law and penal codes.
  • Must have strong teamwork etiquette.
  • Must be able to rapidly adapt to changes in assignment.
  • Must maintain a high standard of appearance and grooming.
  • Ability to maintain guest, team member, and company confidentiality.
  • Tasks are performed with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to walk/stand and climb stairs for more than four (4) hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR / AED / First Aid training

Work Conditions:

  • Tasks are performed with moderate supervision.
  • Walking and standing occurs 90% of the time.
  • Speaking, walking, running, lifting, listening and visual observations occur continuously.
  • Some tasks may require team members to come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Team members should use precautions and follow safety guidelines.
  • Employee must maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance that conveys professionalism at all times, whether in the office or out of the office.
  • Employee must represent Crypto.com Arena and the Security Department in an exemplary manner.

Pay Scale: $25.03

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
