Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be an integral part of the Flight Management Systems (FMS) team, contributing to the design, development, and enhancement of advanced Flight Management software used in modern aircraft navigation and flight management solutions.
In this role, you will impact the aviation industry by developing cutting-edge software solutions that improve flight safety, optimize aircraft performance, navigation, and enhance the overall flying experience for operators and passengers worldwide
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for Flight Management Systems (FMS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, hardware, and testing groups to integrate software solutions effectively
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to deliver high-quality, reliable software products
- Support requirements analysis & decomposition, software development & integration, feature definition, system verification & validation
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- Experience in software development for embedded systems with proficiency in programming languages (such as C, C++, ADA, Python, VB, etc)
WE VALUE
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and coding standards.
- Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
- Experience with Avionics, Flight Management, Aerospace systems or related is of value.
- Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
- Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
