Job Description

Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates advanced Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) control systems for Honeywell Aerospace. You will be a key technical leader ensuring the successful design, development, and qualification of APU control systems across the full product lifecycle. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-integrity solutions for gas turbine engine applications.

As the Principal Systems Engineer, you will guide a team responsible for the requirements-based engineering of APU control system functions and components. While providing direction and technical oversight, you will also contribute hands-on to requirements generation, system architecture, interface definition, V&V activities, and system qualification.

  • Apply environmental qualification requirements (DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461) to APU control systems, including identifying gaps between current capability and requirement intent, and determining closure strategies such as similarity, analysis, or targeted testing
  • Act as the primary interface between the APU Control Systems team, Program Management, and customers
  • Requirements Based Engineering
  • Develop, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements for APU control systems
  • Oversee and participate in validation and verification planning, execution, and documentation
  • Review and approve requirements, test plans, test procedures, and V&V evidence
  • Integration & Technical Coordination
  • Work closely with hardware, software, test, and project engineering to ensure alignment between requirements and implementation
  • Coordinate requirement changes, resolve technical issues, and support impact assessments
  • Program Execution
  • Participate in project planning and provide input to schedules, milestones, and technical risk assessments
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of engineering artifacts
  • Engage with internal and external customers to clarify requirements, present technical status, and support design reviews

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
