About Aether

Aether is building a comprehensive AI-driven platform for home services. Our core software is used by solar, roofing, and heat pump companies to deliver advanced 3D modeling, simulation, quoting, and financing tools — all in one powerful interface. We combine deep technical rigor with real-world utility, leveraging physics-based modeling, AI, and scalable infrastructure.

Founded by alumni of UC Berkeley, École Polytechnique, and ETH Zurich, we bring experience from leading energy and software companies.

Aether is a recent graduate of YCombinator, and has raised over $6M in funding.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager who’s hungry to build, sharp enough to work on deeply technical products, and driven by outcomes.

Aether is catching fire, We have growing traction, over 100 new customers in the last 6 months, and expanding product lines across solar, roofing, and home services. As we scale fast, we need someone who can help us ride this wave, turn momentum into systems, and bring high-quality features to life at speed.

You’ll work directly with the CTO and founders to translate vision into product plans, coordinate with engineering and design, and ensure we’re building the right things the right way. You’ll own a lot, stretch across teams, and have real impact from day one.

We move fast, iterate constantly, and hold a high bar, from UX polish to backend logic. This is not a PM role with pre-defined playbooks or layers of stakeholders. It’s a startup in full acceleration mode.

What to Expect

This is not a cushy 9-to-5. Aether is a YC-backed, high-standards startup, and we operate with the intensity, urgency, and ambition that come with it.

You’ll be moving fast, wearing multiple hats, and solving real problems that don’t come with easy answers. Most weeks will demand 50–60 hours of focused, thoughtful work, and the pace will challenge you.

If you're looking to coast, clock in and out, or hide behind process, this isn’t it. But if you want to build meaningful products, take full ownership, and grow faster than you ever have before, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do

  • Help define the product roadmap and break it into actionable milestones
  • Own the product backlog: spec features, triage bugs, and manage sprint priorities
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and QA to move work forward
  • Talk to users and partners to uncover product needs and opportunities
  • Run the product feedback loop: from pain → idea → spec → release → adoption
  • Maintain product docs, Notion boards, and team communications
  • Drive continuous improvement in how we ship (without over-processing it)

Who You Are

  • You take ownership and follow through
  • You think in systems and care about details
  • You’re deeply curious, fast-learning, and proactive
  • You can zoom in on UX or zoom out to roadmap
  • You write clearly and structure your thinking
  • You don’t wait to be told what to do — you drive

Requirements

  • 2+ years in product management or a related role (PM, founder, product ops, etc.)
  • Proven ability to spec, prioritize, and ship complex features
  • Strong written communication
  • Experience working closely with engineers and understanding technical constraints
  • Strong intuition for usability and user flows

Bonus Points

  • Background in engineering, science, or technical domains
  • Experience with B2B SaaS, CRMs, complex workflows, or simulation tools
  • Familiarity with agile tools like Notion or Jira
  • Comfortable with Figma (for reviewing flows)
  • Past experience at a startup or in a high-ownership environment
  • Knowledge of the solar, energy, or construction industries

Why Join Aether

  • Work directly with experienced founders on impactful technical products
  • Help shape the future of how infrastructure and clean energy projects are designed and deployed
  • Move fast and have impact from day one
  • Help organize and scale a real product org from the ground up

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
