Wij behandelen volwassen cliënten met een trauma- en/of verslavingsproblematiek (alcohol, middelen, gokken, gamen, eetstoornis enzovoort).

Hoe ziet jouw rol als behandelaar eruit?

Je hebt een uitdagende functie vanwege onze complexe en uiteenlopende doelgroep met hun specifieke zorgvraag.

Als counselor verricht je therapeutische behandelingen (en diagnostiek), samen met een ondersteunend team van behandelaren. Je behandelt zowel individueel, familie als in groepstherapie. Je evalueert de behandeling, raadpleegt collega’s in multidisciplinair overleg en verzorgt de verslaggeving.

Als counselor kan je mensen motivationeel en inzichtgevend begeleiden in hun proces van clean worden en helpen de link leggen met onderliggende emoties en (traumatische) gebeurtenissen.

Wie zoeken wij?

Jij bent bij voorkeur een afgestudeerd master klinisch psycholoog met ervaring, een pluspunt is een extra opleidingsachtergrond inzake traumabehandeling.

  • Iemand met ervaring (bij voorkeur meer dan 3 jaar).
  • Beschikbaarheid bij voorkeur 4/5 dagen per week, waarbij flexibiliteit af en toe gewenst is.
  • Sterke mondelinge en schriftelijke vaardigheden, kennis van het jargon binnen de verslavingsbehandeling en behandelmethodes trauma
  • Behaalde certificaten/cursussen zijn geen voorwaarde, maar wel een voordeel (bv. EMDR, lichaamsgerichte therapie, systeemtherapie, traumatherapie, BIG-registratie, …)
  • Zelfstandigheid en zelfzekerheid, vaardigheden in crisismanagement en co-regulatie in behandeling zijn belangrijk, (maar) alsook het bewustzijn om collega’s tijdig te raadplegen en de openheid om verder te willen ontwikkelen en hulp te vragen in multidisciplinair verband.
  • Eventueel freelancer.

Als Addiction counselor beschik je over:

  • Kennis van hoe verslaving werkt als symptoom en de verslavingsdynamieken in de bredere context van psychische problematiek en traumageschiedenis.
  • Grondige kennis van Stap 1 van de 12 Steps en de werking van de fellowship van zelfhulpgroepen en deze kunnen overbrengen.
  • Begeleiden van individueel schrijfwerk omtrent verslaving (en de dynamieken) van de client.
  • Vaardigheden om mensen motivationeel en inzichtelijk te kunnen begeleiden, met een balans van geduld en milde confrontatie.
  • Begrensde maar empathische houding, niet authoritair en kunnen levelen op het niveau waar de client staat in zijn/haar proces
  • Kennis van emotie-regulatietechnieken.
  • Screeningsvaardigheden waar de topics van de client dienen doorverwezen te worden naar de psycholoog (goed inzicht van persoonlijke limieten in het begeleidingsproces en samenwerkings-skills).
  • Vaardigheden in groepstherapie en individuele begeleiding (minimaal 5 jaar ervaring met referenties).
  • Eigen cleantijd van minimaal 5 jaar en bij voorkeur langdurige persoonlijke individuele therapie ervaring.
