This individual will play a key role in the success of both the Birmingham and Appleton offices by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

This position is responsible for leading the electrical engineering aspects of projects from concept through execution, while collaborating closely with project managers, discipline leads, and clients. The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as a technical resource for project planning, design development, quality assurance, problem resolution, and client support. The role requires the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple priorities, help define project requirements, develop practical engineering solutions, and contribute to successful project delivery while maintaining a strong focus on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and prioritize workload to achieve project objectives efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Support business development activities by assisting with proposals, scope development, and engineering labor estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to engineering team members as needed.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, applicable codes, and best practices relevant to the markets served.
  • Design and develop electrical systems, equipment, facilities, and components for industrial clients.
  • Lead the review and interpretation of customer technical specifications, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, high-quality, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to clarify requirements and finalize engineering specifications.
  • Coordinate and prioritize electrical engineering activities to support project schedules and meet critical client deadlines.
  • Work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Travel to client sites as required for project support, field investigations, meetings, and commissioning activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution, required.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, preferably in industrial and/or process industries environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design, project execution, and construction support activities.
  • Experience developing project scopes, estimating engineering effort, and supporting project budgets is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure, is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computational skills.
  • Proven ability to gather, evaluate, and interpret data to make sound, fact-based decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to influence and earn the respect of peers through technical expertise, collaboration, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to engineers and designers is preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
