THE ROLE

AG1 is looking for a Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing to join our Supply Chain team to support the performance and scale of AG1’s contract manufacturing network across new and emerging product categories. Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing, this role will oversee production execution across these formats, partner with manufacturers to strengthen quality, capacity and cost performance, and work closely with Product Development, Quality and Supply Chain to bring new and improved products to market.

The Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing role requires sound judgment across competing priorities and the ability to solve issues quickly without compromising our standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with manufacturers of products intended for consumption across a range of formats, such as beverages, gummies and powders. They understand how production requirements differ by format and have a track record of maintaining quality and consistency as products scale. Experience in the dietary supplement, wellness, food or beverage industry is preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage day-to-day performance of contract manufacturers across varying form factors and products, ensuring production meets quality, service, cost and timeline expectations.
  • Monitor production plans, capacity and shipment readiness, and address risks to supply during periods of heightened demand.
  • Partner with Quality to uphold product specifications, manufacturing standards and compliance requirements; support inspections and timely resolution of issues.
  • Investigate production or product variation, identify root causes with manufacturing partners and drive corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Support product development, enhancements and commercialization by translating product requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Transfer and scale manufacturing processes across partners and facilities while maintaining consistency in product quality and execution.
  • Identify and implement improvements to yield, efficiency, cost and manufacturing reliability, balancing savings with product and quality standards.
  • Support supplier contract negotiations and manage partner relationships, including business reviews, commitments and follow-through.
  • Track and report key manufacturing metrics through daily, weekly and monthly operating reviews; use the data to address gaps and improve performance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality, Finance, Marketing and Customer Experience to align priorities, decisions and launch readiness.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, industry practices and manufacturing capabilities across all assigned product formats.
  • Promote clear communication, accountability and a culture in which compliance or quality concerns are raised promptly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience working with third-party contract manufacturers, including leadership experience in a manufacturing facility or comparable production environment.
  • Experience in consumer goods manufacturing and strong knowledge of production processes, systems and vendor relationship management.
  • Hands-on experience with ready-to-drink manufacturing and gummy or softgel manufacturing; familiarity with all three formats is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose production issues, manage multiple work streams and drive improvements through external partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentive plans.
  • A 100% remote working environment (excluding Laboratory positions), which has been implemented from day one.
  • A strong company culture that is enforced through the hiring process to ensure values alignment and a highly collaborative team.
  • A mission-driven approach to everything that we do, with an overall goal to significantly improve our customers’ health and wellness.
  • A high-growth, dynamic environment with opportunities for your direct impact to be felt.
  • Paid holidays, company-wide reset and reflect days, and unlimited PTO (based on your country of residence).
  • In-person team meetups for optimal collaboration, team building and accelerating productivity.
  • A work environment and culture that is based on high performance, productivity and continuous improvement.
  • The opportunity to work with passionate, high-growth, business-minded colleagues who bring their all to our mission each and every day.
  • Access to AG1 products and branded swag.
  • Monthly telecom stipend to offset some of the costs of home internet/wifi for eligible team members.
  • All other benefits and insurances as required by law, based on your specific country of residence.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
