Are you a dependable, caring Medication Aide who enjoys helping seniors feel their best? We want to talk to you! At CountryHouse Omaha, an Agemark Senior Living community, you'll provide essential medication support and build lasting relationships with residents. Choose between day or evening shifts and enjoy a predictable rotation of five consecutive weekends followed by one weekend off. What You'll Do

  • Administer Medications: Follow the five rights of medication administration and residents' care plans to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document medication administration promptly and maintain proper medication storage, handling, and controlled-substance accountability.
  • Monitor Well-Being: Observe changes in residents' conditions, recognize potential side effects, and promptly report concerns to the nurse.
  • Support Daily Living: Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Promote Resident Safety: Follow infection control practices, protect resident confidentiality, and respect residents' rights.
  • Respond to Resident Needs: Answer calls, provide assistance, and respond appropriately during emergencies.
  • Build Connections: Develop meaningful relationships with residents, families, and coworkers while encouraging social engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • Medication Aide Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and meet applicable Nebraska Medication Aide training, competency, and registry requirements.
  • Medication Knowledge: Understands medication procedures, dosage terminology, and safe administration practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintains accurate documentation and follows established procedures.
  • Great Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally with residents, families, nurses, and coworkers.
  • Technology Skills: Comfortable using electronic medication records and basic computer systems.
  • Heart for Seniors: Patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping older adults.
  • Dependability: Reliable and available to work the assigned weekend schedule, including holidays as needed.
  • Team Spirit: Works collaboratively, adapts to changing priorities, and willingly supports teammates.
