The posting

Role: Assistant Store Manager - NEW STORE OPENING - OCT

Location: London Bridge, London

Contract: Full Time - Fixed Term (3 months)

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Who We Are:

Card Cop is bringing the world of card collecting to life with a new retail concept built around football, cards, culture and community.

Our first London store will be a destination for collectors - somewhere to discover products, talk football, share knowledge and connect with people who genuinely understand the excitement of the hobby.

This is our first store, but it's just the beginning. We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help launch the store, build an incredible team and help shape what Card Cop becomes as we grow.

Assistant Store Manager Role:

You'll work closely with the Store Manager to bring the Card Cop experience to life, turning great ideas and high standards into brilliant execution every day.

· Support the Store Manager in delivering the overall store experience and performance

· Lead and develop a team of passionate Product Experts

· Bring energy, product knowledge and a genuine love of collecting to the shop floor

· Create an environment where collectors and newcomers feel equally welcome

· Deliver brilliant customer engagement and consistently high store standards

· Support strong commercial performance and identify opportunities to improve results

· Lead confidently on the shop floor and keep the team focused through busy trading periods

What's in it for the Assistant Store Manager?

· The opportunity to help launch the first Card Cop store

· A role at the heart of the football card and collecting community

· The chance to help build and develop a team around a shared passion for collecting

· Real responsibility for delivering an exceptional store and customer experience

· A fast-moving environment where ideas, initiative and getting things done genuinely matter

· The opportunity to work closely with the Store Manager and influence how the store develops

· The chance to grow with Card Cop as we move beyond our first location

The role would suit someone who is:

· An experienced retail Assistant Store Manager or established retail leader

· Genuinely passionate about football, cards, collecting or enthusiast-led culture

· Customer and community focused, with a natural ability to connect with people

· Commercially minded and comfortable working towards retail targets

· Energetic, adaptable and comfortable working at pace

· A hands-on leader who turns plans into action and gets things done

· Excited by the opportunity to help build something from the beginning

Part retail leader. Part collector. Part community builder.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
