The posting

Agility’s commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Specialist to own the integrity of our product configuration data and change control processes across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. In this role, you will be the process owner and gatekeeper for how hardware and BOM changes move from proposal to implementation—ensuring every change is documented, reviewed, authorized, and traceable across Digit's full lifecycle.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to build a disciplined, scalable change management system that keeps pace with rapid product iteration while protecting build integrity and fleet reliability.

About the Work

Change Control Management:

  • Own and drive Change Control Process definition, design, and implementation with cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Establish and manage the change request process for BOMs, including documentation, review, and approval.
  • Ensure all change requests are properly authorized and documented before implementation.

Change Control Board Facilitation:

  • Organize and facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to review and approve ECRs/ECNs/ECOs.
  • Communicate CCB decisions and ensure actions are completed.

Configuration Data Integrity:

  • Maintain accurate, version-controlled BOM structures and product configuration records within PLM/ERP systems.
  • Audit configuration data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies between engineering releases, manufacturing records, and as-built units.
  • Establish baselines for hardware and software configurations at key program milestones (NPI, EVT/DVT/PVT, production release).

Process Development & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and document standard work for change request intake, impact assessment, approval routing, and release.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the change control lifecycle and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time without compromising rigor.
  • Train cross-functional stakeholders on change control tools, workflows, and documentation requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Partner with Engineering to assess the impact of proposed changes on form, fit, function, cost, and schedule.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to align change implementation timing with production schedules, inventory, and supplier lead times.
  • Collaborate with Quality to ensure changes tie into CAPA, NCR, and deviation processes where applicable.

Reporting & Traceability:

  • Maintain full traceability of ECRs/ECNs/ECOs from initiation through disposition and closure.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards on change control metrics (cycle time, open/aging changes, approval bottlenecks) for leadership visibility.

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in configuration management, change control, or document control within a hardware manufacturing environment (Robotics, Automotive/EV, Aerospace, Consumer Electronics, or Industrial Automation).
  • Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with PLM and/or ERP systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, Teamcenter, NetSuite, SAP) for BOM and change management.
  • Process Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and facilitate structured change control processes (ECR/ECN/ECO workflows) in a cross-functional environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong facilitation and stakeholder-alignment skills, with experience running cross-functional review boards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting configuration management through multiple NPI phases (prototype through mass production).
  • Familiarity with BOM structures for complex electromechanical systems (robotics, EVs, or precision machinery).
  • ASQ or APICS/ASCM certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or Configuration Management certification (CMPIC).
  • Experience implementing or improving PLM/ERP tools and workflows from the ground up.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems (CAPA, NCR, deviations) and how they intersect with change control.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Position is based out of our Salem, OR facility, with regular collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Minimal travel (up to 5%) may be required to support supplier or manufacturing partner alignment on configuration changes.

Location

  • This is an onsite position at our Salem office.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
