The posting

Voor een gerenommeerde internationale speler binnen de logistieke sector, gevestigd in de Gentse haven en omstreken, zijn we op zoek naar een Dispatcher & Planner. In deze veelzijdige en dynamische functie maak je deel uit van het internationale planningsteam. Je staat in voor de vlotte organisatie van de dagelijkse transportactiviteiten, de administratieve verwerking en de nauwgezette opvolging van transporten en charters.

Jouw takenpakket:

  • Instaan voor de efficiënte en kostbewuste organisatie van de dagelijkse transportplanning, met beheer van zowel full loads als part loads via charterwagens en eigen trailers.
  • Chauffeurs en onderaannemers proactief opvolgen en aansturen om leveringen tijdig te laten verlopen en optimale roundtrips te realiseren.
  • Optreden als centraal aanspreekpunt voor klanten, transporteurs, chauffeurs, het magazijn en de verzendafdeling, en zorgen voor een vlotte onderlinge afstemming.
  • Transportorders verwerken en gegevens correct registreren en actualiseren in de interne systemen, waaronder CMR-documenten, aankomst- en vertrektijden en betalingen aan transporteurs.
  • Toezien op het correcte gebruik van de specifieke driver-app door de chauffeurs.
  • De klantentevredenheid garanderen door mogelijke risico's tijdig te signaleren, actief updates op te vragen en logistieke problemen efficiënt op te lossen.
  • Erop toezien dat alle wettelijke verplichtingen en de geldende kwaliteits- en veiligheidsvoorschriften worden nageleefd, waaronder de ISO- en SQAS-normen.
  • Je beschikt over relevante werkervaring in transportplanning of hebt een opleiding in de logistiek afgerond
  • Je hebt een uitstekende kennis van het Nederlands én het Engels (mondeling en schriftelijk)
  • Indien je kennis hebt van de Franse taal, is dit een pluspunt.
  • Je beschikt over een grondige logistieke kennis; geografische kennis van Frankrijk en de Benelux is een mooie plus
  • Je bent communicatief, wendbaar en beschikt over een sterk probleemoplossend en analytisch vermogen
  • Je werkt uiterst nauwkeurig en bent zeer vlot met pc-toepassingen en MS Office
  • Je bent een teamplayer die ook zelfstandig beslissingen durft te nemen
  • Je werkt in daguren en bent bereid om op roterende basis (afwisselend met collega's) een telefonische wachtdienst te verzorgen
