Job Description:

Are you an experienced mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of auto and diesel engines?

The Ground Service Mechanic is responsible for general troubleshooting and repair work on gas/diesel engines and associated systems, electrical systems, transmissions, gears, brakes, and all other systems associated with airport service equipment. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience with troubleshooting and repair on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmission/rear end, basic chassis/brakes, as well as fabrication skills (MIG and Arc welding/cutting). ASE Certification preferred. AGI provides paid on-the-job training, advancement opportunities, and safety incentive bonuses.

AGI is an aviation services company operating in more than 50 cities across North America. We employ over 3,000 people servicing nearly 200 airline customers every day! Our aviation roots span 45 years and our strong reputation in ground services and hospitality are the foundation of our success. We are committed to providing the highest level of quality service and continuing our track record of outstanding safety. As we continue to grow, we are looking for only the best in the industry. The sky is the limit!

As an AGI Mechanic you will:

  • Provide prompt response to equipment service requests to troubleshoot and repair: vehicles & belt loaders (unleaded, diesel, and propane engines), lavatory service trucks, air conditioner carts, ground power units, and more.
  • Perform and track preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment.
  • Work with station management to help control budget and order parts and supplies.

To be an AGI Mechanic you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.

As an AGI Mechanic you must be able to:

  • Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) in confined spaces on a regular basis.
  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.

Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful AGI team member brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety!

$28/hr. -$38/hr.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
