The posting

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and impact of social work programs and interventions . They are responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing monitoring and evaluation systems to assess program outcomes, track progress, and identify areas for improvement. The M&E Manager collaborates closely with program staff, stakeholders, and external partners to collect, analyze, and interpret data for evidence-based decision-making and reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Planning:

Provide expertise in M&E planning and methodology.

Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation plan, including determining performance and impact indicators and targets.

Provide support to proposal development for M&E components.

Day-to-Day Monitoring and Evaluation Activities:

Design structures and Framework for the impact assessment of Akshar along with the leadership team as well as the field teams

Implement monitoring systems and design monitoring tools.

Design and implement the M&E structure for the Akshar Projects

Develop data collection tools.

Monitor project activities, outputs, and progress towards anticipated results.

Work with data platforms, databases, and select technologies to capture and organize data.

Train Akshar staff in monitoring and evaluation processes and provide ongoing coaching.

Conduct or provide support to data quality assessments.

Analysis and Reporting:

Determine data analysis procedures and use quantitative or qualitative analysis tools.

Analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data.

Summarize findings.

Develop monthly, quarterly, or annual reports depending on project requirements.

Disseminate evaluation findings and project results to donors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience (5+ years) in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in social work or community development programs.

Strong understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and tools, including experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis software.

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel within and outside the state.

Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in education.
