Are you ready to make a difference in the world of personal injury litigation? This paralegal will be joining the team of trial attorney Brandon Bishop. The role will specifically support associate attorney Julianne Boydstun. This team works cases arising from catastrophic injuries, including, but not limited to, trucking collisions, motor vehicle collisions, and dram shop liability. This team also specializes in negligent failure to settle and bad faith cases.
This is a 100% on site position. We believe this work is done best together!
What You'll Do:
- Be a Key Player: Work closely with the litigation team and attorneys to keep cases moving forward efficiently.
- Engage Directly: Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel to keep everyone informed.
- Stay Organized: Manage case files, legal documents, calendars, deadlines, and other important case details.
- Dig Into the Details: Review and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other evidence to support each case.
- Prepare for Success: Assist with discovery responses and prepare materials for hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Deliver Great Service: Help ensure cases are handled efficiently while providing high-quality service to clients.
- Drive Impact: Take ownership of personal injury cases and provide essential support throughout all phases of litigation.
What You Need:
- Candidates should possess skills in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting correspondence, discovery requests, and settlement documents. Candidates should possess skills in organizing, analyzing, and summarizing documents. Candidates should possess skills in preparing Pleadings and Motions, including drafting, formatting, and filing in accordance with state and federal court rules. Relevant qualifications include prior litigation or personal injury paralegal experience, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A paralegal certificate, degree in a related field, or extensive prior experience in legal support is required.
