The posting

Roles and Responsibility:

Quality Management

  • Lead all quality-related activities for the IM Plant.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and company quality standards.
  • Monitor and improve product quality performance through effective quality planning and control.
  • Drive defect reduction and process capability improvement initiatives.

Process Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain process controls for Injection Molding operations.
  • Monitor key quality parameters and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Validate process changes and support new product introductions.

Customer Quality Management

  • Handle customer quality issues, complaints, and corrective action implementation.
  • Lead root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA.
  • Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and quality concerns.
  • Participate in customer audits and support customer quality requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Guide and mentor quality inspectors and quality engineers assigned to the IM Plant.
  • Conduct training on quality standards, inspection methods, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor quality KPIs such as PPM, rejection rates, customer complaints, COPQ, and audit findings.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
  • Drive actions based on trend analysis and operational data.

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead internal audits and facilitate external/customer audits.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if applicable), and other relevant standards.
  • Support management reviews and closure of audit non-conformities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve overall plant performance.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives related to quality losses and rework.

Role Specific Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Plastics Engineering from CIPET / MSc in Polymer Science or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a manufacturing environment and Minimum 3 years of experience in Injection Molding operations.
  • Injection Molding process knowledge.
  • Quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D, CAPA.
  • Statistical analysis and quality reporting.
  • Internal and external audit management.
