The posting

Main Purpose:

The Technical Office Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed shop drawings for aluminum works, including doors, windows, curtain walls, and related systems, while supporting the factory's production and project requirements. The role ensures accurate technical documentation, material optimization, order preparation, and effective coordination between the factory, suppliers, and construction projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Shop Drawings & Technical Documentation

Prepare detailed shop drawings for aluminum works, including doors, windows, and related systems, based on approved architectural drawings and project requirements.

Review dimensions, specifications, details, and site requirements to ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for fabrication.

Prepare fabrication details, sections, schedules, and revisions required for production.

Coordinate drawing revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings are issued for production.

Material Take-Off, Orders & Procurement Support

Prepare accurate material take-offs and quantities based on approved shop drawings.

Prepare material, profile, glass, hardware, and accessory requirements for assigned projects.

Prepare and follow up on material and production orders to ensure project requirements are fulfilled on time.

Coordinate with Procurement, suppliers, and the factory team regarding material specifications, availability, and delivery requirements.

Optimization & Production Planning

Prepare cutting lists and optimize aluminum profiles, glass, and accessories to minimize waste and improve material utilization.

Use relevant technical and optimization software to support accurate calculations, material planning, and order preparation.

Identify practical technical solutions that improve manufacturability, cost efficiency, and production time.

Ensure production requirements are aligned with project priorities and approved technical details.

Project & Factory Coordination

Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Site, Procurement, and Production teams regarding project requirements and technical clarifications.

Review site measurements and coordinate required adjustments before fabrication.

Provide technical support during production and installation and resolve technical issues related to drawings or fabrication.

Follow up on project priorities to ensure the factory meets construction requirements and agreed schedules.

Quality & Documentation

Ensure shop drawings, quantities, orders, and technical documents are accurate and aligned with approved specifications.

Maintain organized records of approved drawings, revisions, material take-offs, orders, and technical documentation.

Support quality checks and ensure fabricated aluminum works comply with approved drawings and requirements.

Carry out any other duties as assigned to meet business and project needs.
