About the Role

The North America Filtration Manager owns revenue and gross margin performance for Alkegen's filtration business across North America, with a focus on growing High Efficiency Filtration and Micro Fine Glass Filtration. A core part of the role is coaching four Field Sales Representatives and holding them accountable for the day-to-day disciplines that drive results: consistent customer visits, timely follow-up, and accurate, up-to-date CRM records. You will set the operating rhythm, expectations, and accountability needed to deliver business targets: building a robust pipeline, coaching the team on key account planning, and communicating Alkegen's value proposition to grow share with existing customers and expand into new markets. You will partner closely with the North America Sales Director, Inside Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and Product Management to turn the commercial strategy into results in the field.

Job Description

Field Sales Coaching & Accountability

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of four Field Sales Representatives, spending regular time in the field on joint customer visits and ride-alongs to observe, model, and give real-time feedback
  • Set clear activity standards for each rep (customer visit frequency, account coverage, and prospecting) and hold reps accountable for meeting them
  • Ensure reps follow up promptly on customer meetings, quotes, samples, and open opportunities, so that no customer commitment is left unanswered
  • Hold reps accountable for keeping CRM current: logging visits and activities, updating opportunities and stages, and maintaining account plans
  • Run a consistent operating rhythm of weekly one-on-ones, pipeline and deal reviews, and team meetings, using CRM data to inspect activity and coach on gaps
  • Set individual targets and goals, manage performance against them, and address underperformance directly and constructively
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop talent to build a high-performing team, and champion new processes and tools, explaining the “why” to drive adoption

Customer & Key Account Leadership

  • Lead development and implementation of customer account plans and support your team with cross-geography coordination
  • Lead from the front with senior customer decision makers, positioning Alkegen as an industry-leading partner rather than a vendor
  • Coach reps to build and execute strategic account plans for key accounts, with clear growth, cross-sell, and wallet-share objectives
  • Identify and pursue new solutions, applications, and markets to drive organic growth, including the commercialization of new products
  • Monitor customer engagement and churn risk, and lead win-back efforts on at-risk or lost accounts

Business Growth & Pipeline Management

  • Own revenue, gross margin, and market share targets for the North America filtration business, translating the commercial plan into product, regional, and account-level goals
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline that supports consistent growth, monitoring coverage, conversion, win rate, and deal aging
  • Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and use the results to refine account priorities and go-to-market tactics
  • Partner with Inside Sales to optimize account coverage, focusing field reps on accounts with the highest growth potential
  • Grow High Efficiency and Micro Fine Glass Filtration sales by identifying priority applications and customers, and partnering with Product Management on technical specifications, qualification requirements, and new product launches

Sales Tools, Data & Performance Reporting

  • Use CRM data and dashboards to monitor rep activity, pipeline quality, and account plan progress across the team
  • Track KPIs (revenue, margin, market share, win rate, pipeline health, and churn) and act on the insights to course-correct
  • Partner with Sales Operations on territory design, account assignments, and quota setting to ensure balanced coverage aligned to growth opportunity
  • Prepare filtration business inputs for monthly performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews with the North America Sales Director

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Ensure seamless handoffs to Customer Service so customer commitments are met
  • Partner with other regional and territory managers to share market / customer insights and best practices
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management on filtration campaigns, pricing actions, and growth initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial manufacturing, including at least 3 years leading or coaching field sales representatives
  • Demonstrated success coaching field sales reps and holding them accountable to activity, follow-up, and CRM standards
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets selling technical products to a broad customer base with a long tail of accounts
  • Experience with key account planning, pipeline management, sales forecasting, and sales performance management
  • Strong working knowledge of a major CRM platform (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) and proficiency in Excel
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior customer decision makers and communicate a technical value proposition

Desired Skills/ Experiences

  • Experience in High Efficiency and Micro Fine Glass Filtration, including technical selling and working through qualification cycles with demanding customers
  • Experience selling across multiple product lines
  • Experience partnering with Inside Sales to optimize account coverage
  • Exposure to cross-sell and wallet-share expansion programs supported by contemporary sales management tools
  • Comfortable with uncomfortable conversations and holding team members accountable to standards
  • A catalyst for change, open to introducing new thinking, approaches, processes, and tools
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across North America

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
