The Summer 2027 In-House Legal Graduate Internship provides a current first-year law student with an opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience within Highmark Health’s Legal Department. This internship is designed to provide direct exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of an in-house legal team while building practical legal research, writing, analytical, and business skills within the complex and highly regulated healthcare industry.

As a member of the Legal Department, the intern will work alongside experienced attorneys and collaborate with business partners across the organization on a variety of legal and business matters. The program provides hands-on experience through legal research and analysis, document review and drafting, preparation of legal and business communications, and participation in ongoing projects and departmental initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of in-house legal practice while learning how legal considerations intersect with healthcare operations, business strategy, regulatory requirements, and enterprise decision-making.

Typical responsibilities include conducting legal research, analyzing legal and business issues, drafting and reviewing documents and communications, supporting attorneys with active matters and projects, preparing summaries and recommendations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. Through mentorship, substantive assignments, and professional development opportunities, the intern will strengthen the practical skills and business acumen needed for a future career in corporate, healthcare, or in-house legal practice.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
