The Opportunity

The Regional HR Manager (China) serves as the senior HR authority for Allegro’s China sites (including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, and OSAT locations), driving people strategy and operational excellence for approximately 50 employees across a growing organization.

Reporting to the Regional HR Leader (Asia), the Regional HR Manager operates as the primary HR leader and cross-functional integrator in the region, partnering closely with Finance, IT, Legal, and EHS to own regulatory compliance, workforce effectiveness, and a high-performance work environment. This is an exciting, high-impact role for an independent HR professional looking to translate global programs into local operational success while directly influencing workforce planning, retention, and employee engagement.

What You Will Do

• HR Operations & Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle for the China region. This includes assessing and selecting talent, maintaining the integrity of employee records, overseeing benefits delivery, partnering strategically with payroll on total compensation, and driving localized onboarding, engagement, and offboarding programs.
• HR Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to local leadership on organizational effectiveness, talent decisions, and workforce planning. Lead the end-to-end annual performance and reward cycle (Merit, AIP, and Equity) for the region.
• Regulatory Compliance: Act as the official representative for Allegro with local government bodies (labor authorities, municipal governments, customs, and OHSAS). Proactively manage regulatory relationships and ensure continuous compliance with all regional and national Chinese labor laws.
• Change Management & Policy Localization: Localize, implement, and drive adoption of global HR programs and corporate initiatives. Design, implement, and own China-specific policies required by local law, utilizing targeted communication to guide employees through organizational changes.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Network with key contacts outside HR (Finance, Legal, IT, and EHS) to coordinate regional business support, align on corporate governance, and manage office operations.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in HR, Business Administration, or related field) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR Generalist/HRBP experience within a multinational company (MNC) operating in China.
• Deep, up-to-date knowledge of PRC Labor Law, local employment regulations, and compliance standards.
• Strong background in Compensation and Benefits (C&B) administration and partnering with payroll.
• Proven ability in organizational change management, data analysis, and structured problem-solving.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are required to effectively partner with global stakeholders and local employees.
• Highly self-driven and comfortable working independently in a highly matrixed, global environment with limited local precedent.
• Proven ability to advise, guide, and persuade senior regional leaders and global partners on complex HR matters.

Work arrangement is hybrid, expecting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. Travel expectations are approximately 10% domestic within China and occasional international travel.
