POSITION SUMMARY

A Fare Extraordinaire is seeking professional, dependable, and guest-focused Banquet Servers to provide exceptional service at catered events, weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and other special events.

The ideal candidate will have previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or event-service experience and understand the importance of professionalism, presentation, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Banquet Servers will assist with event setup, food and beverage service, guest needs, table maintenance, and event breakdown while helping create a polished and memorable experience for guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Provide professional and courteous food and beverage service to guests.
  • Assist with setup of banquet rooms, dining areas, buffets, and event spaces.
  • Set tables according to event specifications, including linens, silverware, glassware, china, and other table settings.
  • Serve plated meals, passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet items, beverages, and other menu selections.
  • Carry serving trays safely and professionally.
  • Serve and clear tables efficiently while following proper banquet-service procedures.
  • Maintain water, beverage, and table service throughout the event.
  • Monitor assigned tables and respond promptly to guest needs.
  • Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and maintenance as assigned.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, captains, supervisors, culinary staff, bartenders, and other event personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service area.
  • Remove used dishes, glassware, silverware, and other items throughout the event.
  • Assist with resetting tables and event areas when necessary.
  • Follow event timelines and instructions provided by banquet captains or event management.
  • Assist with event breakdown, cleanup, and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Perform additional banquet and event duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous banquet serving, catering, restaurant, hotel, fine dining, or event-service experience preferred.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and event timelines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable interacting professionally with guests and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, upscale event environment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during busy events.
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or required depending on assignment.
  • TABC Certification may be preferred or required for assignments involving alcoholic beverage service.
